Goonies Never Say Die!

This is not new news, but thought I'd share it with those who haven't heard yet (it's new to me).

'Guild cities' are coming to EverQuest II. These things are HUGE. They even have private boat docks for your guild mates. It is said they may appear along the coast of Qeynos and Freeport (Antonica/Commonlands).

These things are going to be awesome. The number and freedom of things that you are going to be able to do with them sounds like crazy fun.

I also have a question. I've been gone for a long time.

How many cities are there now that have player housing? Could some nice person please list the cities with housing?

Thanks!

Oooo, very cool.

All the towns and cities have housing. The more advanced housing is in the cities. Towns only have one  bedroom rooms at the inn.

Qeynos

Freeport

Maj'dul

Greater Faydark - Kelethin

Neriak

Gorowyn

These are the current cities that have housing. Qeynos and Kelethin are good, Freeport and Neriak are evil. Maj'dul and Gorowyn are "nuetral" (While Gorowyn isn't true nuetral, good players have access and can use the city as any other).

Goonies Never Say Die!

Thank you guys for the helpful lists.

From the way the link sounds, these new guild houses are gonna be like a small city, so your guild members can live there and rent a room like any other town/city. Crafting stations, broker access, even a recall button to call back to the guild house.

Looking forward to this addition, and to see how it turns out.

It will bring guild mates that much closer together. Social interaction is always a good thing in these games.

My question would be regarding where and how they're going to set these up? Looking at the concept art, these are not going to be small. So I really can't imagine every guild having one since there would quickly be no room.

So is this basically going to be like every other city, in that there will actually only be one physical city but everyone will zone into their own instance ( like apartments )? If so, I'm not too enthused then. Having an apartment instanced inside an instanced guild hall/city just breaks the illusion when you have 50 members from different guilds all standing around outside waiting to zone into "their"  guild hall.

Don't have sigs with a cheerleaders butt swinging in it, or the prudes in the Age of Conan forum section of mmorpg.com will demand the mods have it removed.

This is from this LINK:

"The guild halls will be located in the oceans around Norrath.  Specifically, they are said to possible be on the coastlines in Antonica and Commonlands.  Don’t worry about having to fight for prime real estate, because they will be instanced."

So that leads me to think there will be quite a lot of them, and also (as indicated) they will be instances. I'm not a fan of zones/instances, but somehow it works in EverQuest II.  It would be keping in line with the rest of the games design.

It will be basically a small city - but a huge, huge guild hall. Complete with private boat docks to take your guild mates around the world. Not sure how guild mates all living together in their own 'guild city' or 'town' will effect the major city populations.

At any rate, this can only be a good thing no matter how you look at it (in my opinion).
