After all is said and done, a lot more will be said than done.

The real meat of Conan’s gameplay is in the Borderlands, where high-level guilds large and small vie for control of territory and resources. As of this writing, the Borderlands dynamic is still evolving, with small cadres of power gamers dominating the early goings. It’s impossible to evaluate how this system will play out over the coming months and years, but Conan’s good underlying PvP mechanics and guild-focused endgame design certainly have a lot of potential. Funcom has already significantly tuned up the gameplay post-release, and further adjustments are inevitable.

MATT MILLER   8.5
It’s easy to forget how monumentally huge a project it must be to put out an MMO, much less a good one. That’s why Funcom’s Age of Conan is a profound success, even if the game still has some kinks to hammer out. Robert E. Howard’s seminal sword and sorcery world is presented here as if it were pulled from the author’s imagination – from its pulp dialogue to the wildly buxom, over-sexed women. While the intrigue and plots are thoroughly grounded in that anachronistic style, the gameplay thankfully isn’t. A portentous combat system delivers interesting options for every class, the well-structured UI is helpful, and the approach to upgrades and leveling is exciting. It could use more gameplay variety, particularly outside of combat, and the action was plagued with noticeable bugs in the early days after release. Even so, this is one of the best MMOs yet released, with a style all its own.

SWG pre cu/nge wanted!

Wow u really r a man on a mission!

edit: like always you will say: Oh I will write MY review later... but truth is that you are only showing off the good stuff in every thread you participate in.

You really champion a company that mistreats its customers. And post only positive reviews.

It doesn't make sense to be an über fanboy like that without at least some moderation!

I don’t know what the key to success is, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

Yes AmazingAvery, we all know it's very hard to defend yourself when you were one of the really early-planners who was dubiously fooled and tricked by Funcom and their marketing department.  The game is a brilliant failure, and you who boasted and cheered on these forums for Age of Conan to be so great, well.. you're looking like quite a fool now.

And its' quite shallow when you're trying to defend your position as a incredible amount of AoC-fanboyism.

How do you figure mate?

This is a news article just like every other little piece of news and some people here might agree or not agree with it, if you noticed I just posted it.

I am in the game, im having a good time, i am not experiencing performance issues, but i am experiencing a few small bugs that do not vastly detract from the fun factor im having.

Sorry but anyone that states the above and still rates a game 8/10 loses ALL credibility as a serious reviewer.  He's obviously been persuaded to give this game a high rating.

That any western developer, especially a big budget company like Funcom, should be able to present us something else than a frickin' mindless grindage festival. Oh btw, even when there's too few quests to have something to do in certain levels.. Rappelz actually managed to at least give me quests all  the time.

Holy frickin' gee.

You know, just saying that is....plain wrong. Those 48K post on the Age of Conan speak the true. The game is mess.
