I hope they have TONS of features pvp and pve wise... it needs to be something innovative and not d2.. if its just d2 with better graphics, a few new things, a few new classes/skills = game sucks... well see what blizz can do

There are only going to be 5 classes when the game releases. Blizzard announced two of them: Barbarian and Witch Doctor.

Cry Havok; and let loose the dogs of war.

Acta Non Verba

Not really impressed by this....

only 5 classes, when diablo 2 had 6..and only 3 are new, so basically we lost 4 classes to gain 3 new ones. Is there any particular reason why this game is starting off this way? trilogies are supposed to include everything.

Not only are the classes dissapointing but the fact that it holds similar diablo 2 playstyle mechanics is also dissapointing, that over teh shoulder cam thing shouldve been done away with a long time ago. Hopefully it redeems itself by having an indepth character creator, otherwise ill just torrent this game.

Diablo 3 had great potential as an mmo, as an action rpg however.. i try it because it is diablo, but i doub it will be able to keep me entertained for every long. especially if one of those 5 classes isnt a necromancer.

5 classes or not, it's Diablo 3! Let's hope they did away with the druid and the assassin of the classes they got rid of.

I really like the breakab;e environments in the gameplay video. Killing enemies with walls and rocks is going to make the game even more immersive.

If you actually spent more than 5 mins watching the gameplay trailer ect. you would have seen that certain classes are combined of others, the withcdoctor is just the Necromancer with a lot more other stuff, voodo gadgets included.

Diablo 1 and 2 was all about having classea that were as different from each other possible. They aren't like mmo crap designs, where you get 40 different classes where each 10 of them are pretty similar except the name of the class.

So expect that assasin and amazon are a merged class as well, where their talent/skill tree will be the "road of zon or sin"

Don't cry if you expected Diablo to be a MMo . And where the hell was your ears when you watched the gameplay trailer? The guy said "there will be 7 classes in Diablo 3" . Play it again and you will hear.

Hence its like D2? What do you expected to be? Like WOW? SC 2 its same as SC 1 with better graphic and updated unites, etc which I LOVE it.

Did you really watched the gameplay from D3 or what ? It's sooo awsome with all the special effects and superb skills. It remind me of God of War 2 .

This will be so awsome , and I do not take in consideration what did you said. I believe you are a WoW hater and also a Blizzard hater too.

THEY never dissapointed with any game and also they wouldn't with D3 .

So...

What your saying is, after decades of game devolopment, the best method of adding depth to a class is, not to find ways to diversivy them individually, but to admit that they are similar and just merge them together. That is a weak arguement, lets face it, a spear throwing, bow using FEMALE ONLY amazon is hardly the same as an assassin, so merging them together means both classes will lose whatever appeal they had on their own. The same goes for some tribal chanter... i just looked at the witch doctor and said i wouldnt play it. I dont care if they are some freak hybrid class that can do pet control, they arent necromancers. The thing that made necromancers cool was the fact that not only could they summon armies of skeletons, but they also looked cool. Nothing about the witch doctor looks cool.

the fact that you seperate diablo from mmo design shows that you have no idea what you are talking about... MMO isnt a genre. RPG single player or massively online follow the same principals, classes, levels, progression, story. And while some mmoRPGs fail at creating diversity, ive yet to play an action rpg that has actually done it sucessfully. I doubt there will be much customization in this game, and while everyone will have a wide array of skill to spam.. i give it 3 months before everyone just establishes the BEST build, and just sticks to it.

My ears were listening to music, while my eyes where reading this - http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/faq/#1_6

I didnt expect it to be like WoW, how ever i did  expect it to be a persistant online game. From the looks of this game it looks like we are going to have the same room design of battle.net

I played WoW for 3 years, and own 4 accounts.. please call me a WoW hater again.

Just because i dont jizz in my pants at the sound of the name "Diablo 3" doesnt make me a hater. I just expect more, and if most fanbois demanded more, our next gen gaming phase wouldnt be some hack "lets remake all the old classic into HD beauties and add very little NEW gameplay elements" that we seem to be suffering from today.

From the sounds of this game, it will have to offer a lot more if it wants to stand teh test of time diablo 2 has.

Diablo 3 is looking really good. I can't wait to play it. I mean who needs mmo's when we get games like these ? Between SC2 and Diablo3 there is plenty of gaming to be done!
