what is fishy about mortal? people seem to thinks it's vaporware just because it has similar features to darkfall. reposting this here to "convince" you that it is a real mmo that is in development.

 

1) they are using unreal engine 3. epic games doesn't license their products to companies that are not well funded as it would look bad on their engine if they didn't make a quality game.

here's a quote from mark rein, vice president of epic games.

2) starvault is listed on the swedish stock exchange.

i just looked at their website, the game looks MOST impressive. i was seriously hooked just by that opening movie.

Errrr Jumpgate is like Eve?  In some ways maybe sorta, but since one is an RPG and the other is an actual flight simulator. 

You gotta admit its apples and oranges.  If a person thinks Jumpgate classic and Eve play the same way then they are literally certifiably insane.

Its like saying Master of Orion and Tie fighter play the same way because they sci-fi space games.

op, nice work but there is one little problem.

Your only talking about graphics, you say earth rise looks great and that's probably because you looked at the graphics, then you say about fallen earth that  its cheesy, but it is actually also a sandbox game but you  say in other words that it probably sucks. Then you consider mortal online not an mmorpg???

Sorry but may i advise you to read the FAQS of those mmo's and do some reading on some sites. I also like to ask you a question.

Are you a graphic whore? No offense, but to me, it seems you look way to much to the graphics from the sound of it . You do talk like that!

Just a few comments:

1. EVE pvp is awesome. I think JGE is a light version. But on the other hand it seems more accessible. I might check it out just for that. EVE is really hard to get into and I tried several times but I always end up just grinding skills while offline.

2. Mortal Online. I really, really want to believe in this. But some alarm clock is ringing in my head and I usually have a good intuition. Sorry, that is just how I see it. I will keep on following it and if they start to release real info, I will update this thread. But I need more than text updates. If nothing happens over the next six months I won't trust them.

3. To the guy calling me a graphics whore, then the answer is, no I am not. If anything I am a sandbox fan.

4. Fallen Earth. I haven't checked it out much but the video on the site looks really horrible, like first generation Rainbox Six game. It looks totally old. Graphics and art direction is awful. However the gameplay and sandbox interest me. So I will give a few more looks and another chance.
