Darkfall

Hmm, okay, so Darkfall has a publisher.  Now what?

The fact is that 6 months from release, and they still haven't proven anything.  All of these statements they have made is something they still cannot back up.  They have a publisher with no experience in this field, they have not even proven 90% of their statements, and they haven't even hit beta yet.  They plan to release in six months, yet they are clearly unprepared for this....

People are clearly forgetting all of this; while being distracted by publishers and interviews.  Hell, even if this game gets the miracle of releasing, it sure as hell won't be ready if Adventurine keeps this up.

They been working on QA for quite some time now. Professional testers you know. Thats the way to do it. And Mike, dont forget you can try Darkfall out before you buy it, so why dont you cheer the Devs on Aventurine on instead of this ridicolous negativism?

Darkfall has a European publisher!  W00t!  Of course, that publisher has not done any games, and is creating a "Game Division".  We better hope these guys have a clue, and are fast learners.

Cheer them on about what?  Being lied to countlessly, falsely led on?   Or mabye thank them for their pathetic community interaction?  Or their poor buissness ways?

Professional testers do NOT count, Aragon.  When you plan to have 10,000 people on one server in a seamless world, you need to have more than 20 testers. You and I both know that.

And no, that is not "the way to do it."  AoC was in beta with PUBLIC testers for awhile, and so is WAR, so show me where you see other major games doing it.  Hell, AoC wasn't even complete with all that beta time, what makes DF any different?

They haven't proved anything Aragon.  Right now, there is a possibility of release, I'll give you fanbois that. What I will not do is say "DF will be great, and perfect for release with no problems!"   They still have a lot to prove and do in the six months before this game is released.

It is not rediculous negativity, but being skeptic seems like a pretty simple thing to be doing right about now.

all this is meaningless really. The only thing that matters is how good the game is and this bit of news doesn't in anyway say if the game is good.

If anything , it says it's medicore at best if they couldn't sign with a more well known distributor for ALL of Europe. That's a big market.

They may be trying to hold on too tight to their product which in the end could end up being a bad thing if they sacrafice quality distribution and support.

Why didn't they just go straight to Direct2Download? Than you don't need any distributor or printed media.
