$oE , destroying MMO since 1999. |
A lot of things are pointing towards a scam release.
-Aventurine SA has made 0 games so far. The developer team apparently comes from Razorwax, a company that registered themselves but have produced 0 games also. -No one from the very small (5 names only) development team have any credential in another company and their names are unknown in the business. -No gameplay video's but some characters running into each other. -Parts of the small video's seem to be pre-rendered and are not real-time. -The developers team first worked in Norway but then they moved to Greece, with no real explanation why, just to save costs. -Not one business, either in the form of licenses, engine support, rendering support, distribution support, platform support, games for windows support or ANY business supporting this game. This could very well become a scam release when pre-orders start. I think MMORPG should take this game down until actual proof of the existance, if ever, of this game is real.

how many times are we going to hear the same thing? I mean, I'm not for Darkfall, or against it, but you guys need to find new stuff to dish on DF instead of repeating the same things over and over.
however, if it is a scam, its the "customers" own fault for falling for this trickery in my opinion. |

Uh...actually, yeah, they do, for the most part. Pretty much every game that gets to a retailer is preordable, and so are a lot of the digitally distributed ones. Very few exceptions to this, which are basically casual games with low production values. It'd be more accurate to say Aventurine does not behave like everyone else in its market and genre. |
