Dark Age of Camelot

Started playing the main download from the website - the 14 day trial.  Do i need to dl any expansion, and if so, where do i find said expansion.  I downloaded the Minotaur thing too but dont know if that is the "catacombs" expansion everyone talks about.  Thanks!

Yeah, I gotta agree with you.  It's a bit confusing to say the least.  I could never figure out what to download and if I was getting the graphics update package or not.  So I downloaded what I thought was correct and winged it.  If someone could give a more detailed list of what acctually one need to download that would be great.  The game is pretty good though.

I was confused myself lol, so I winged it and downloaded every single expansion listed =P

I'm in the same boat. Is there any where to check if we have the updated graphics loaded? Like a client number or something. I get the message when picking a server that tells me I should upgrade but when I try to download the patches/expansions it uses torrents to download and they always stop at 85% and won't restart, keeps saying its a different file.

Is there a way or place where I can download the patches/expansions from an http or ftp server instead of using torrents?

The last 2 expansions you will have to buy they key for.  All the ones upto and including Catacombs are free.  So if you want Darkness Rising and Labyrinth of the Minotaur, you'll have to fork over some money.  You can activate them through the billing section on the log in interface you get when you type in your name and password to play.  Clinc on the ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT button and take it from there.

Catacombs will give you the newest graphics so if you're going to only play the trial that's pretty much all you need.

I guess I should have been more clear. I already purchased the games and when I go to pick a server it says my user ID has access to expansions beyond Shrouded Isles but they don't seem to be installed. I went through the install process twice now from the beginning and it still says the same thing. I already purchased Darkness Rising and the Minotaur expansion.

What is the version number on the launcher you are using if you are playing with Catacombs and Darkness Rising installed? Mine says 1.68, how do I know the version of the game I am playing is 1.94 (I think thats the latest)??

The 5th anniversary box set includes all the expansions. If you want em all that would be the best way to go. 30 days free play and all expansions for new accounts.

or if you are a returning player, just register the key to your existing account to unlock the Labyrinth expansion.

 Okay, I already purchased the expansions from Mythic, they are available as digital download on my account screen at Mythic. I already downloaded them, when I sign into the game it tells me the expansion Darkness Rising has been activated and then takes me to the page to download it. After I download it and try to install it, it gives me an error saying there is no Darkness Rising directory to install to.

This is getting more frustrating than installing a game from 10 floppies back in the old days. Maybe this is why the user population for this game is so low, most can't get the game installed.
