I just wanted to make an updated post about my experience in swg since returning to the game 3 weeks ago.Believe it or not the game in my opinion is alot better and I am glad I gave it another go. Ok to start with I would like to comment a little more about the population since it has been a topic of discussion here latly. I play on Bloodfin and here is what I see. As soon as I created my new toon and landed on Tattooine ,Mos Eisley I saw alot of players hanging out at the Cantina,Star Port and in and around the town.As I began doing the Legacy Quest series the population spread out alot,I still saw several people out and about questing here and there. Now here is my opinion of the population on Bloodfin and it is healthy. It is really hard to judge the population in this game anymore .because the content has everyone spread out all over the game,so you do not see as many main hang-outs like you did in Pre-Cu,CU versions, people are out at different stages of the quest lines, pvping,in space,or doing dungeons. Now as for other servers I do not know their conditions ,but it sounds like most are light in population, but the game is definatly growing slowly. I have ran into several players along the way who say they have just returned to the game and tell me they feel the same way,the game is alot better. So far I have decided to stay in SWG and made this choice over EQ2 and returning to wow for the simple fact I am having a blast with this game :P

Congrats bud. I am not being sarcastic when I say that cause about 97% of the time, people go back to their previous MMOs to give a another go and cancel their account 10 minutes later. Usuaully people leave the game cause they're just burned out on it or the population is decreasing. It's hard to find an MMO like that and to come back and see the numbers growing. I don't have to worry about population, cause i play WoW

Playing:WoW,Guild Wars
Used to play: Vanguard, Anarchy Online (got to lvl 6 and quit :p)
Waiting for: Warhammer, Aion

Pumpkin orange?

If you did the Legacy quests full on, and enjoyed them, my guess is you were not a CU, or even pre-CU player.

For every 1 person that enjoys this game 10 or more do not.

SWG isn't growing, it's bleeding subs.  The "new" players he sees are from subscribers transferring servers are rolling new toons.

Just out of curiosity ,Why is that ?

Pre-cu and Cu really didn't have much content at all , Quests didn't do a thing to help you progress back then . Some people prefer this avenue of progression .

Note:  I never have been into questing personally . Yet still can't see how being a cu/pre-cu player has any bearing on whether someone would enjoy having the legacy quests as a form of progression. Its all Apples and oranges to me.

Your guess is wrong I mastered 28 professions in pre-cu grinds,I also did most of the village quests in CU form and remember waiting for "Grind Groups" to gain xp which was lame to do.Understand this I do not approve of what SOE did,But the game now is not that bad and to be honest I could care less if you like it or not, what counts is I am enjoying it along with many other people:). I am sorry you do not like it I hated it as well when it 1st launched as the NGE Benny Hill show, but its not like that anymore:P

most people forgot that skill progression was mostly done by killing mostly pickets and quenquers in dantooine or gurks in lok. entertaining people that killed pickets and quenquers  in dantooine or gurks in lok, or healing people that killed pickets and quenquers in dantooine and gurks in lok.  Unless ofc you were unlucky to have some profession that require odd kinds of exp (bh and investigation, bio engineer also,  comes to mind).

and end game was rancor missions in dathomir for credits. or entertaining people that took rancor missions in dathomir. or buffing people that took rancor missions on dathomir.

one of my best friends in game once told me: this is all about holocroms, picklets, gurks, quenquers and rancors.
