Exactly what I said, hes just too far in his DarkFury to realize that he has nothing to support his claims.

As of now no one who has been to the recent rounds of visits has emerged.  There is some story about a Member of The Mercs going to visit but that has not been totally verified.  We will see in the weeks too come.

What exactly WILL they have?
Let's see...
They don''t need open beta testing. In-house only. Fully tested and guaranteed bug free.
They don't need an official publisher.
They don't need a site to house their game servers and provide connectivity for an MMO.
They don't need to market their product and advertise. Publishers DON'T just distribute games. They MARKET them. Even if Aventurine isn't marketing their own product, the publisher would surely perform those tasks. That's what publishers do. So, where is the marketing?
They don't need to have ANY pre-order sales which would not only give them needed income BUT provide them with a GOOD estimate on the number of EXPECTED users. This would be a tremendous help in determining how many servers will be needed at launch.
They don't need ANY professional gaming sites to have a sneak peek or a "hands on" look at the game. This would mean FREE advertising. Now what company on the planet would shy away from this?
All I hear is, "They are doing it THEIR way."

Can you blame them for not having an open-beta? The one of AoC was the biggest failure I've seen so far.
They do have a publisher.
Since when is a site needed to host a game? This isn't a web-bases game like Runescape.
It's obvious they don't need advertisement, forums are loaded with Darkfall posts, best advertising you can get.

from what I heard, they like a rebelling company. Doing it their way, not caring of what people think, there'll be people who like it if we do it right. Can't blame them neither. Press interviews usually end up with reporters trying to get the best of the interview, and twisting every word they say.

Honestly I don't care if it comes or not. If it does, good, I'm not going to play it. If it does, we finally have a way to get rid of die-hard PvP maniacs (yes, maniacs! They're even worse then the hardcore PvP'er ).

No one in his wits can give credit to a Darkfall Release, but ok, whenever it comes up if it does you'll get rid of the pvp maniacs, though I think these maniacs will be playing WAR or EVE. Two good and REAL choices.

yea i was talking about publishers being under ndas not the newest visters not my fault you misunderstood that.

There was a thread about it on the darkfall forums. how can i not validate my claims how the hell can you vilidate your claims? /facepalm

A guy named stalwart was there at least he said he was and he agreed to post about it when he got back. he could be lieing but im not sure yet we just have to see if he writes anything...

Now I am confused.  For what I knew they didn't have a publisher.  I knew Aventurine is theorically the publisher of DFO.  Then I knew they signed a MoU with a greek movie distribution company.

There had been any other news after that?  Asking because I see a lot of people saying they do have a publisher (like if it's a fact).  Are they refering to Aventurine itself?  Or do they think a MoU is actually an agreement and they are counting that the MoU will turn into a contract?  Or are there new news I didn't read about?
