WAR (Warhammer Online)

Im 23 yrs old and im from Los Angeles. My gaming experience: Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 2, Fiesta, WoW, and Anarchy Online. I am usually a crafter and that will not change with WAR. Although for most games like this I have been a mage type. I plan to be some sort of melee for this(tank or melee).

My guild experience: Well my best was when I played Star Wars Galaxies. I was a leader of a guild with over 200 people. We had gamespeak(forgot which one). We were one of the top guilds in the game for a long time.

I am looking for a fun but serious guild. I want to be in a community where people talk. I want to make lots of friends that I can talk to both ingame and on a gamespeak. Also I come with 2 others. The 3 of us are RL friends and we currently play fiesta. I have convinced them to play WAR with me. They are hardcore players with lots of time to play. Thanks guys!

Faction: Order or Destrution
Hardcore or Casual Gaming
RvR or PvP
Core or Open Ruleset
Play time

  As for the faction I am still not sure. I am leaning towards destruction but all the sites ive been on, ive noticed a lot of destruction players so im not too sure. As for playing hours, I play around 20+ hours during the week and around 10+ hours on the weekends. As for open rule server, im not too sure what that means. But I do play to PvP, RvR, and PvE. I want to experience everything in the game.

I miss the old days of Swg the guilds were so grand back then.

To my understanding, Core servers are more limited in where you can attack the enemy. Certain places are considered PvE only, and they are free to hunt there without worrying about retaliation.

Open servers on the other hand, are essentially 100% open RvR in all areas. If you see an enemy, they are fair game (provided you aren't over the area's level cap, or you'll turn into a chicken).

RP is another kind of server, that can be combined with either Core or Open to produce 4 server types: Core, Open, RP Core, RP Open. It simply means you should try to Roleplay your character at all times, and not talk out-of-character and ruin immersion for everyone. They also usually have more restrictive name rules - i.e. no "BarneyLovesYou" character names.

I expect the most fun to be had on Open servers, and for the best experience in WAR hit up an Open RP server. Most people will probably lean that way, our guild is.

Hi Jebus,

Yes played Swg till the Nge happend. I went to check it out a few months ago missed the flying and the crafting but all is so wrong there now.

All you do now is get a cheap pet and go stand in the Mosh pit and ding your leveled and ready for end game it is pretty sad.
