Google "MMORPGMaker" if you want to make your own MMORPG.

If WoW is a fluke, then what recent MMO release that was out at the time WoW has released, or has released since WoW is better, or was in a position to compete with WoW, but just didn't have the circumstances WoW did on release?

The fact is, WoW WOULD be a fluke, if there were all these other GREAT MMO's out there, that for one reason or another, lack of publicity, wrong release time, etc., just didn't do as good as WoW, but can you name one?

blizzard is a superb company in the business sense. they saw a huge empty piece of the market cake (the retards) and wrapped up an epic game specifically designed for them.

so all those who always considered mmorpgs "dificult" and had problems understanding anything harder than Diablo 2 or lacked skills to fully enjoy other mmorpgs, suddenly had a product they could play. on top of that it was fun in its simplicity, and added a bit of advanced gameplay for those with an IQ over 50 to show off.

now everybody follows that line of  "copy WoW,even tho its a pathetic excuse of rpg that oldschoolers hate with passion, the subnormals' market is way bigger...and i want money too"

2 thumbs up for Blizzard's business model. 2 thumbs down for greatly helping in kiling the genre

There, that should just about cover all the WoW threads that pop up on this forum day in and day out.

WAR won't kill WoW because it just offering more of the same.

When people are tired of WoW, they will be tired of WAR too. It's the same old format.

Guitar Hero Online mate. That will kill WoW.

I'm fairly certain I've been playing MMO's since you were in diapers.. so what about the old schoolers hating WoW again? Right. It's pretty silly to say that WoW doesn't require intelligence and is "so easy that only retards could play it." The fact is, I find that most WoW critics are themselves a bit on the idiotic side. WoW follows the model that every single Blizzard game follows, including Diablo 2 and the still-living Starcraft: Easy to play, Difficult to master. Meaning of course there is a high skill cap, even if the game is easy to play. The best players in the world do things that take the rest of the playerbase a year to accomplish (even after the strategies for it have been released and the content has been nerfed).

The WoW Arena scene is quickly becoming a competitive game. An "e-sport", though some WoW players dislike it, it is true. Pro gamers are now participating in the WoW arena, going to tournaments and earning tens of thousands. Not just any retard can do that. But again, open your mouth and blab about things you know little of. I'm certain that you've never accomplished anything in WoW.

Very few.. most people ignore the facts, repeat the lies their friends told them, and refuse  to act intelligent or mature. It's like actually gathering real information is an unforgivable sin, and the only thing to do is spread BS and blatantly lie while making stupid predictions based on little or no information and purely on personal opinion.

(ex: ___ game is going to fail because I DONT LIKES IT.)

For me i think blizzard is the entry point for alot of gamers.....(which is a good thing for everyone)

None of there games are innovative, ground breaking, or the most complex.

They are however very well made and easy to "learn".

Own, Mine, Defend, Attack, 24/7

im gonna stab at your arena one. Let me first say that WoW in no way should be a E-sport , the only way it gets away with it , is because WoW does it themselves. But the biggest reason why i say this is because WoW is horribly unbalanced, in a balanced game no matter what the combo you should be able to win.

If you notice many of the games they play are on the older side , but extremly well done, i had a arguement with a friend of mine why isnt tf2 in the normal league of things. (btw if ya ask me halo shouldnt be in these) he argured balance, for me it seems very balances, but once again its based on classes.
