Darkfall

specifically this Tasos guy..  The guy has to be one of the biggest posers I've ever seen.

People wonder why people are actually starting to hate this game. There's lots of games that are in development forever but no one gets on their case. There's a reason why people are annoyed with these guys to the point where they actually start hating on this whole thing and that reason is because they constantly blow their horns and try to act like big shots while at the same time show absolutely nothing to back up all their grand claims some of which border on being completely absurd.

These people are called posers. They talk big but really have nothing back up anything they say. They try to sound amazingly important but yet fail to deliver when it matters time and time again.

Lately though this Tasos guy has been pretty quiet. Maybe he learned his lesson after he was called out publically at Warcry... But then again perhaps not considering he made more unsubstanciated claims about his past work history in a recent Greek interview and failed to correct any of it when he was given the opportunity to do so by the editor.

I dunno... true I guess, I've followed Darkfall for 3 years now and im starting to lose hope... 2008 release? Yeah right, not at all possible...

Haha... 2008 release is funny cause they won't even have a 2008 beta.

Exactly :S Closed beta is usually a year minimum before release

New account whose first post involves creating a new thread slamming (or praising) DF.  Never seen that before.  Post on your main account son. (or quit getting your main banned)

Not telling anyone here anything new, DF's development has been full of empty promises and broken dreams. 

It will be either the best game evah or one of the biggest flops in gaming history.

Or it may just go quietly into the night and never see the light of day.

i dont care when it comes out, i'll play it when it comes out and if it doesnt, well.. not like anyone didnt see it comein

Try reading his post again champ... He's describes basically what a "poser" is.

Doesn't matter if this is his first or one thousand and first post.  It's his opinion and he's entitled to it.

I saw this EXACT same post over Darkfall forums, it got deleted in 1 minute by a mod because you are obvious a SAD TROLL. Seriously, you nut jobs need to chill out. Darkfall will come out, new video in 2 weeks, and I can guarantee that vapor-posers like you will be crying tears of disappointment when Darkfall releases within 2008. Thats all.

Well, basically, it's a term we used to use in the '80's, mainly a skater term, but can apply to anyone. A "poser" is someone who tries to give the appearance of someone they are not, and does poorly at it. Like a "preppy" putting on a flannel shirt and saying they're a "stoner".
