GOA the Company has fraudulently taken money out of peoples accounts too many times and has been investigated by the big banks. I myself work in Fraud and GOA is scaled to Red/Black  meaning that banks now do not deal with this company for fear of fraud on their customers accounts.

GoA like most other company have the billing handeled by somebody else. What actualyu happened there has ofcource been warped and twisted by the flame monkeys.

Listening to and believing any flames posted on Freddys is like thinking the VN boards are a place of usefull informative infomation. Goa have cocked up alot in the past, but there not fruadsters.

Wic does have a point, although this is new information to me. Awhile back, SOE was doing the same thing to people's accounts after people had cancelled their accounts. Certain banks and Credit unions would actually hault processing of payment before a confirmation e-mail or phone call was sent out to the bank member.

Now I don't know if anyone else has had notification of this but in response to this SOE has also banned some accounts saying their was a problem with fraudelent billings (was listed on their site also under account thefts) so it is a possibility that this could be true.

 Ah, the fun of buying services which do not have a physical presence over the internet via a credit card. Where a company charges you 3 times for somethign instead of once (and then you complain to your bank) and where people buy it once and then complain to the bank once again, to get their money back :)

 A lot of companies that were providing services over the internet(especially during the boom of internet aroudn mid to late 90's)  lost their merchant accounts. So meh, besides, 3rd party companies will step in to process credit cards even if that's true, not really a problem lol.

 Yes, goa will sell war boxes but won't be able to get payment from your cc and as such won't be able to operate... yes right, aside from the fact they are doign that just fine with daoc, you'd think goa has smarter people in control than thread starter so they were on top of this long before thread starter even learned about this "problem"

I am using that source because I cannot post sensitive data from my bank for fear of being investigated myself. What I can say is what I originally posted.

GOA has made a hatchet job of at least in my experience the UK European servers. They do not have the mental capacity/resources/attitude to run the Warhammer EU UK servers.  The DAOC Eu UK Servers do not have 30 people capped prime-time. It is a ghost town.

If I play the game I will get a US box, this is from my and others EU UK experience of the company. I am just here warning those from my country not to get involved for many reasons including the very serious billing issue. I warned you here first.

The EU servers will probably serve the french and germans better but there is no good reason why people like now should not play on Mythics US servers.

Sorry not once have i had a problem with my billing on the Europe servers, no idea what your on about

What no more than 30 people? please i was on about 3 months ago and there was at peak time about 1000-1500 eriously your making half of this up

I do remember GOA having problems before but from what I remember it was a very specific game and affected what overall is a small percentage of customers. Don't kid yourself if banks had to pay back tons of money to thousands of people they would have taken GOA to court to reclaim their losses.Also if this was the case GOA would have simply folded by now because if banks refuse to deal with them they don't make a profit, pretty simple economics really.

I've never had a problem with them and like someone else said the whole incident was blown out of proportion by flame monkeys and trolls. Although I did have a major issue with my WoW account which was cancelled THREE times but kept renewing until I got the bank to stop the payments, got my money back from the bank but Blizzard (aka the Gods of MMO) still deny any problems.
