I have recently wangled a 3day trial out of SOE in the hope that I will get the bug and come back to SWG full time. What the game has lined up on the horizon looks promising, but from what I've seen so far the server I'm on (Corbantis) is a little under populated. Which servers are best populated? Also I came back several months ago for a month and the legacy quest was a grind beyond boredom. I miss SWG, and am desperate to enjoy it again and that will be difficult with no-one about. I know the game has totally changed "twice" since launch, and I too left pre-NGE. But the game "is" what it "is" now, and there is no other Star Wars MMO out there to compete, so please try not to slate this post with pre-NGE waffle. I am interested in what this game has that will grip me as it once did all those years ago. |

Most of the servers are suffering from low population issues, but there is supposedly something in the works to address the issue. Whether it is to be free transfers, enhanced 'complete' transfers for a fee, server merges, etc. remains to be announced. In the mean time, the biggest servers are Bria (West Coast), Bloodfin (East Coast) and Chimaera (EU). Since most of the new instances are Heroic in nature, it is group intensive, which can often frustrate those playing on the dead dervers, so you may want to try out a larger server if you want to truly experience the new content. Toon transfers with items cost $50 (US) each or you can reroll and experience SWG from the beginning. While there has been a lot added to the game, there is a substantial amount of grinding involved. Will it grip you? Maybe, but keep in mind that the game never recovered the over 200k players that cancelled, which the ghost servers attest to. You need to try SWG and judge for yourself if it is worthy of your gaming time. While there is no other Star Wars mmo to compete with SWG now, it appears there will be one next year. |

Theyre making fun of you. Kauri is totally dead.
Bria, Bloodfin, Chimaera are best. |

looks like "angry vets" are "panicing" with all the trolling posts being started today. meanwhile this one looks serious. Use the servers marked heavy or medium if you want instant population. |

Hey OP, when ummax tells you "instant population" she really means instead of the 10 - 25 active players you will see on almost all of the servers it will be more like 50 - 100 active players on the top 3 most populated. If you played Pre-CU the populations are going to be laughable and quite depressing, even on the most populated servers. Don't take my word for it, try it yourself. This game has been dead for years and the people playing it are still paying for beta. |

For PUGs, you'll need to stick with heavy or medium servers. Bria, Bloodfin, Chimaera...all good choices in that regard. You might consider Ahazi or Chilastra as well. The thing is groups are still smalll (8 man) and the instances are balanced for that size. Be a medic and you'll always get an invite. Jedi, not so much. Jedi are as common as dirt. Find your way into a guild for the best results. My last trial I got into a steady, non-guild based instance group, but then my main toon on Ahazi is a "personality" via the official boards which helps a lot in getting out of the blue invites. |

| CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested. Once a denizen of Ahazi |

I'm going to take the plunge and join Bria or Bloodfin ( a coin shall decide) with a new toon and start from scratch. My original toon was deleted out of frustration post CU and the new one I started a six months ago is only 30 so given the population I would be better starting again I think. "Here goes nothing!" Incidently, can BHs still hunt Jedi? |
