WAR (Warhammer Online)

At first when it became most obvious that most players preferred destruction over Order, I thought that couldn't be anything but bad news for this game. From a game's mechanic standpoint, this couldn't make sense. That would mean destruction would constantly have an edge over Order when the playerbase is substantially larger on one side.

Then I started looking at this from a lore standpoint and one that would make sense on paper. Destruction should, from a psychological standpoint, be a much bigger force than Order, as it is easier to destroy than rebuild or maintain. Was it Mythic's intention to begin with that Destruction would have a much larger playerbase?

It might now been Mythic's idea to make them seem better or stronger. Order is really OP, the BW can kill very quickly and they actually can take some hits. But when the game actually goes live, it might even out a little more. Hopefully. Wouldn't be a very good RVR battle when Order is always outnumbered 3:1. Even now it has started to even out. At least on the server I play on.

even though on every server I played on the Distruction side was getting there ass handed to them even though they had about 15-20% more population.

I think that the game was balanced to take in account that more people would be on the side of distruction.

and I'm glad they did, becuase I'm going to play Order ALL THE WAY baby!!!

More nublets play Destruction because of the coolness factor? :)

destruction seems to control stuff more often than order.  But when actually fighting it seems pretty even.  chaos vs empire order seems to be outnumbered, but in the other zones most fights have been somewhat fair, and when an order party wants to take a zone... well, our 6 man team took all of tier 1 for order.

I will end your theorizing and say that you are definately wrong.  The RvR games place equal amounts of people together on the map and from my experiences certain sides excel at certain maps.  When you get steamrolled by a Warrior Priest and a Bright Wizard in the Capture the Flag map you can come back here and post how you were wrong about one being better than the other.

Since destruction are most, there will be more morons. Myself have planned playing destruction, because greeenskins are my favorite races. I hate Empire, Dwarves are ugly and elves are gay. This was just my opinion, and i will hope that it will be balanced enough so both sides will have fair gameplay. I would hate to login and there only was few Orders just to being outnumbered by the Destruction.

I wasn't talking about one being better then the other, but outnumbering the other. That doesn't necessarily mean that they have better classes or something.

And I thought RvR was just that you entered an area and went to control a place / do an objective with no set amount of players on each side? That's what I've been seeing and hearing from a lot of people.

I think once the game goes live the server population might even out between order and chaos. Early in the beta servers destruction seems to dominate..but that soon becomes an even fight as players play both order and destuction.. there's nothing stopping you from making both order and destruction characters on the same server (atm at least).
