People keep bringing up the slow combat crap? Ive played AOC, LOTRO, DAOC and UO to name just a few. Unless something has changed where is this slow combat you speak of? Only difference with AOC is that you had directional swings and a nerfed dodge/block. Didnt really make that game feel fast for me, just useless white damage and i played an Assassin in AOC, a Lotus sin at that. Warhammer has combat where you press you swing.... where is the delay? Some spells have a cast time... but where dont they? Some abilities are a charge build up type... but whats the difference with that and a combo? You use other abilities while you wait for a charged ability and make a decision do i use it or not to let it build more? What gives? |

Says almost 11 million active subscriptions and only the leading MMO to have ever acheived such numbers, and not to mention the standard maker! Look at both AoC and WAR trying to clone WoW, so yeah WAR is great it had to clone another game just to try to get high sub's. Good one!

Even their core system in the way they do quests is a Clone! and just for your edu'ma'cation, WoW did not clone EQ. WoW used the core level / class based concept of EQ but never cloned it, hence WoW huge success in the industry! However, EQ2 did try to clone WoW as AoC did as well and look what happend to those games!

2.4 million "Active" subscriptions for World of Warcraft. The game is 4 years old and offers nothing new, the only thing people obtain now is burnout. I always switch MMO's every 3 years regardless the time and devotion spent. I have no problem walking away from invested toons been doing it for a long time. |

Correction: "IRVINE, Calif. -- January 22, 2008 -- Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announced today that subscribership for World of Warcraft®, its award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), has continued to climb, recently passing 10 million worldwide. Interest in the game has remained high in all regions, with thousands of new and returning players signing up through the holiday season. World of Warcraft now hosts more than 2 million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and approximately 5.5 million in Asia." WAR will NOT achieve those numbers, not when the 'gameplay' is more than 4 years old and offers nothing new as stated above by PinkCat!

Have to admit, I lived through the Burning Crusade, where all you gear and everything you knew was just turned insideout. Guess it makes scense, but to work so hard in 40 man raids to get where you got and for the game to just go well all that means shit now GRATS! Is pretty painful. Their answer to this.... lets do it again! In the same sweep lets totally burn one of our classes for a new one we will introduce............... Just shows how stupid WOW'ers are. Fair Dinkum! Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice SHAME ON ME! P.S: The first chink in the Blizzard armour to me was exactly that, their anouncment of the Season 4 Arena Gear. Their idea to normalise how the armour looks was the first sign to me that: 1: Some funding had been redirected from the art departement 2. Less people were working on WOW. Lots of other projects out there for Blizzard to make more money for them other than WOW at the moment, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 here guys. Blizzard normalizing armour sets is seriously the first indicator for me. |

I really dont understand the wow clone thing. If you can tell me that the pictures here: s524.photobucket.com/albums/cc324/Ork34/WAR/ s524.photobucket.com/albums/c...WAR%20Classes/ http://s524.photobucket.com/albums/c...AR%20Gameplay/ look anything like WoW, then I'm really at a loss. And all you have to do to see that the RvR gameplay is entirely different is go to youtube and google Warhammer RvR. I'm sure you'll find more than enough vids. Too many posts in this thread, and in this forum seem extremely uneducated, and seem to come from people that have never played the game. |
