That's not true. Vaporware means there is no game. Darkfall has proven there IS a game. Now whether or not you people are going to like the game is another story, but it isn't vaporware. Nice try though.
actually, vaporware does not mean what you think it means, it seems. just the first part (in red) is sorta telling...
Vaporware is a somewhat derogatory term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar software/hardware product. The term implies unwarranted optimism, an as yet unannounced abandonment of a project, or sometimes even deception; that is, it may imply that the announcer knows that product development is in too early a stage to support responsible statements about its completion date, feature set, or even feasibility. However, most vaporware would not be considered a hoax since the makers have a genuine intention to create their product, even if it ultimately never materializes. Products with unspecified release dates or long development times that outwardly demonstrate regular, verifiable progress in production are not normally labelled vaporware.

What is the problem with the graphics exactly? I thought they were good... not the best around, but good. Anyway, I will never understand those who think graphics > gameplay. To me it just makes no sense... we are talking about a game and not a damn movie! Bah... to each its own I guess.
so then, you're still playing UO? it's graphics AREN'T that great; but it does have a TON of content/abilities/etc that no other MMOs have.
better than that -- MUDs... there were/are some MUDs out there that have a ton of things people are hoping darkfall has.
otherwise... your graphics comment is hollow. |

I see this going the route of EVE. A niche game with a loyal, yet small playerbase that can expand over time. Its one thing to build an MMO in seven years with a small team, its a totally different beast when you have lots of players shouting of fixes/nerfs/suggested addition and all going in every direction possible. A solid launch is needed but a firm path of playstyle and where they intend to go in the future is a must. |

The Trolls are just grasping at straws now, a decent game may have finally arrived where the developers have a grasp on reality and the sense to drop the features and eye cndy that adds Zero value. A big well done to the DF Devs. |

Take a look at this. No question its an older generation engine but who cares? The gameplay looks fun. |

troll?
excuse me?
what exactly.. EXACTLY in my post is trolling? someone made a statement that graphics aren't important. if that is true, there ARE existing games that have wonderful gameplay and a plethora of features, but the graphics aren't great.
are the words i used too large? do not be all defensive and making up garbage in a reply in order to justify something that, by definition... IS vaporware. especially when my post had nothing to do with the game one way or the other.
