from what i've read warhammer is now bassiccly a pvp/rvr game, the pve element to the game is just a line of quests and the only fun element in the game is pvp ?

has anyuone got any info on what the pve side is actually like or is it medocre(don't know if i spelled that right)

i was hoping of something that had a strong PVE and PVP thing in it or at least balanced in what you want to do end game or whatnot?

any information would be extremly helpful

thank you

There is a war going on for your mind.

Basically, WAR is two games woven into one.  There is the RVR game and the PVE game, you can play either completely independant of the other without being hindered in any way.  But to get the most out of the game, you'd probably be better off doing both.

Cover girl cutouts throw pop-ups ads infecting victims with silicone shrapnel. Postproduction debutants pursue you in Nascar chariots. They construct ransom letters from biblical passages and bleed mascara into the holy waters of minds. They flash logos and blast ghettos; their embroidered neckties say stop snitching. They shout at you, 'pay no attention to the man behind the barred curtain nor the craters beneath the draped flag, those hoods are there for your protection.’

War is nothing like guild wars.  The PVE elements aren't groundbreaking, and pretty much consists of your usual kill-deliver-find stuff quests, but the RvR aspect is fun as hell.

Yes, that was...helpful.

Anyway if you want me to be any more specific, could you elaborate on what you'd like to know?

PvE is pretty much the same as in other games, at least when talking about quests.

The other main PvE part, is PQs (public quests) - most of these are fairly small areas where anyone can jump in at any time, and help with certain objectives. Usually it's 3 stages: grind x mobs, grind x champs, kill the boss. Then hope you're lucky and get some of the loot.

Lots have been said and written about PQs, but imo, most of them are mindless grinds which may seem impressive to begin with, but becomes extremely boring in the long run. I may be extra tired of them since I've played/tested WAR (EU) for over a year now, and due to lack of testers, PQs were mostly about solo grinding the first part. Usually you cannot do more than that alone, and first stage is often "kill 100+ mobs"....

I am enjoying the heck out of the PvE, just as much as the PvP/RvR.

The plot of the quests are actually pretty good, and a breathe of fresh air from other MMOs like AoC, WoW, or Guild Wars. Even LotrO. The titles and unlocks add a lot of fun to it all, IMO, especially the easter egg quests.

Public Quests and the way rewards are handled for them, are also great IMO. It unites all of the players in an area and is a bit of random chaotic fun.

My only quibble would be that killing a monster before you get the quest for it doesn't count- they said that it would. Overall 9/10 for the PvE

I believe PVE seems like a "line of quests" just because mob xp is toned down to eliminate mob grinding.

"If at first you dont succeed. Then skydiving isn''t for you."

I absolutely love this game. Mostly since it's emphasis on PvP, and how well they implimented it.

I will be playing this game for a while.

WAAAGH!

The PVE is very fun in WAR. You have a ton of quest, Public Quest (which are really fun to play), as well as all the usual places to explore. I haven't gotten high enough level to tell you about any dungeons yet though.

You really need to try it for yourself. It is a fun game
