EQ2 needs some better traveling music. Im new so i dont know if there is any better music but in antoncia and a few other places it sucks. Sounds like the sims.

I think your all insane, EQ2 has without a shadow of a doubt the best MMOG music ever. Look inside your C:\ EQ2 folder, and listen to all the music, it's incredible.

No longer visiting MMORPG.com.

I think EQ2 has some great music, however... there is one compilation that kind of sounds like a phone ringing far in the background and it drives me freaking nuts!!!!

My bloodpressure must spike when i hear that sound cause it makes me feel like i have to answer the phone at the office!

I pretty much like the music, i think it fits the fantasy setting quite well.

Of course the music cant be all great in every zone, but im pretty sure that you can get a custom addon somewhere that allows you to play your own music.

If you don't like the music, you can get some very nice addon music if you check out the Official EQ2 Sound forum.  There are several people who put together some nice alternative music to the default music you get with the game.  That said, I don't like to mess with changing my music and I'm happy with the music the way it is.

I was never fond of EQ2's music until the release of EoF, they really made some awesome music for that expansion. Too bad it does get boring after a while.  It is indeed possible to change musicfiles as the above poster stated, I myself have a StarWars tune playing during combat, it's really great :D

Listing MMOs/Chars/Lvls does not make your post any more relevant. It just adds more crap to ignore.

EQ2 music makes me want to puke.

The music itself is pretty awesome, but it get's boring with the time.

I would suggest, just to give the player a choice. Meaning: Every zone should have a music option to choose between approx. 3 up to 4 different BGMs. Maybe - even though the original music was composed by award winning people - it would be a cool thing to experiment with different music types in the game to make it more interesting.

Nothing changes faster than history.
