From Calgary...
-I Demand Respect! This is America Dammit!

I See that WOW has all 6 of the cookie cutter classes that every game needs. Rogue, Warrior, Priest, Warlock (summoner), Hunter, and Mage. then, we've got three, kinda different ones. (Druid, Paladin, Shaman). sure all of these classes have little tints of color in thier greyscale, like priests being able to be a offensive Powerhouse, and different types of classes in one class. (like Arms And Fury warrriors). but i would like to see a couple of classes that are more specialized in one type of more irregular thing (like maybe Guild Wars's Ritualist). i think that because the game is so basic it would be hard to implement some of these, but you never know.

Here are some classes that i would like to see in wow that i think would fit all of the basic rules.

Illusionist: A new caster that specializes in cosmetic debuffs and Disruption of spells and mana draining. Armor: basic caster wear. Weapons: staves, daggers, wands, one handed swords (trainable) . Can take a tiny bit more damage than any other caster class, and is Defense-Damage oriented.

Bone Dancer: A new caster that focuses on the manipulation of evil spirits and powers to control the minds and powers of Foes. Armor: basic caster wear. Weapons: staves, one handed swords (trainable), Daggers (trainable). Focuses on taking control of other targets and turning them against one another. alsop had power of aoe dispels and silences.

Champion: A melee focused Hybrid who casts nature spells and small aoes, and can hold secondary tank, and damage. Armour: Mail 1 Through 60 Weapons: ALL but wands, staves. Hard class to master, but easy to learn.

These are just a couple of my ideas on a couple of new things i think should be added. if you have any ideas, or any input on these classes, i would be glad to hear it!!

P.S. I will add ideas for talent trees tommorow or the next day.

Station is the paradox of the world of my people, the limitation of our power within the hunger for power. it is gained through treachery against those who gain it. those most powerful in Menzoberranzan spend their days watching over their shoulders, defending against the daggers that would find their backs. their deaths usally came from the front. -Drizzt Do'Urden

Those are some great ideas. WoW needs new classes, the only reason im not getting BC is because they didnt add any new classes.

I like your ideas for new classes. I would like to see a mind controlling class, sort of a counter balance to hunters, where the mind controller would be able to make humanoids their pets. Priests can do this in a very limited capacity. I would like to see something close to the old EQ enchanters, mana buffs and drains, mind control and illusion masks so they can infiltrate the other races. I would love it to if they had a spell allowing them to understand the other factions language. It would add a cool layer to the game to be able to have spies infiltrating the other factions.

Odoyal Rules

WoW does not need anymore classes.  The problem I forsee with adding classes to WoW is the EQ affect.  See, EQ has a bunch of cool classes and they are fun to play.  The problem is, having this many classes will make it harder for certain classes to get into groups.  For example if your champion class you talked about although it is neat but why would you want a hybrid class when you could get a full tank?  Anyways, if you play BC you would realize they now have 3 tanking classes.  Why would you want a hybrid?  What would happen is that a Champion class would be left out of groups and have to solo most things.  Sure, you would find groups here and there but would be easily replaced by a warrior, druid, or paladin.

Personally I enjoy what wow did with their classes.  I love how you can spec a character to your style of playing but yet still be good at what the main idea of the class was amde for.  To me you cant beat it.  In EQ2 I could be a beserker or guardian.  On EQ2 you are stuck with your desicion from a low level which really sucks.  I love how WoW has done it to where you can change your mind no matter what.  Ok, back to my point.  Adding of new classes would be pointless and more work.  In all honesty would bring wow down more people crying we need more Champion abilities!!  So why add to something that really doesnt need any fixing?

I wish in WoW, you could maybe evolve into a better class at 60, such as Demonhunter or Blademaster

If they were to add more classes with the next expansion, I would hope for them to add about 3. ( Or maybe even 6, but that's asking for way too much.)

1. A new healer based class ( Probably not as good as the priest, but it would be good to see more healer types so people could have more to play with.)

2. A new Spellcaster Class

3. A new full melee class

( 4. A new possible pet class )

(5. A new possible Hybrid class)

(6. A new possible ranged class, because the hunter is cool, but I would like to see more.)

Well, most of the new classes would be more hybrids anyway, but here's my ideas from maybe some new classes:

A new healer class would have to be a Monk. Sure, it would be like a Priest and rogue, but it would be cool to have a full on, fist fighting character. Probably be a cloth wearer who can do self armor and sheild buffs. I would think the combo attacks would be more like paladin seals maybe. They would cast something like, I dunno "Holy fist" that adds damage and it builds up to a finishing move. It would be a good class because it would be the first that doesn't require a player to buy weapons in to do more damage with melee attacks.

Anyway, for a new spellcaster class, I would LOVE to see a verson on the Trader class on Anarchy Online. Maybe call it "Merchant" or something. A class that can steal life/energy/stats from other enemies to buff themselves/other teammates,And that's what they would focus on. They could also be one of the first independent money making classes in the game. Where as other classes use professions in order to make money, the "Traders/merchants" could have their own ways of making money, maybe by crafting or otherwise. It would be a more group dependent class though, like a Priest.

A cool Meelee class would be a Blademaster, which I haven't had much thought into it, but I guess it would be like a Warrior in leather/mail(later lvls.) can only use blades, and would I guess be more of a warrior/rogue class. I don't know.

A gunslinger class would be cool. A class that actually uses duel pistols and has combo ranged attacks. It could work, and could probably add some cool western outlaw feel to the game. ( Since the game is even though MOSTLY themed medieval, it still has mixtures of different themes from all over the place. Just going to certain different areas show that. )

But most of what I say is a pipe dream. It would take so much work just trying to balence out the classes by adding TWO new classes in the game (Along with adding a shit load of new items in the game inventory.) Much less 6.

But I feel that they will add more classes with the next expansion. Some people might think "No, they won't, they probably won't even make a new expansion", but the way it goes with MMO's, they always gotta add new things to keep the lovers of the game entertained (Or extremely pissed off.) so, we can hope...just hope.

They would probably have to add new areas too, maybe even more lvls. But that would just go well with the game story though, since it said that Warcraft's story I think takes place in at least three different worlds. ( I know of Azoroth, and the Outland. )

But if they do add more classes, they better add more than one. I don't want the shammy/pally effect all over again.(Since the expansion, ALL I HAVE SEEN ARE EITHER PALADINS OR SHAMANS. It's annoying.)

Groovy.

I didn't see this post before, but that's a great idea. the talent system is okay, but I would like them to go even more in depth with classes. Not just "Demonology Warlock" or "Fury Warrior".

I just sstarted playing WoW, so I can't really speak from any experience with the game, but I think that it should contain more classes just as long as it wasn't over-done, too many classes dosen't always help.
