Has been for awhile now :P

I've been playing this one for a little over a week, and I gotta tell ya, it's actually pretty cool.  It has a very involved guilding system.  You can conquer ports and adjust their tax rates with your guild, and that's just one small aspect of the guild system.

The translations are far from perfect, but that doesn't take away from the gameplay much.  I'm very picky about MMO games, and excepting Everquest 1 and 9Dragons, no other MMORPG has kept my attention as thoroughly as this one.

www.bountybayonline.de/en is the english website, I highly recommend checking this one out.

As far as geography goes, it is quite accurate, I've been using google maps to find ports that I'm unfamiliar with :)

Plus, you can be a pirate! ^^

After all is said and done, a lot more will be said than done.

Keep playing for a few more weeks then you will be bored as hell.

Voyage Century in whatever incarnation still stinks.

Item mall where people can so levels so fast for $ is cheating.

Only difference is BBO isn't free, and very few small others. I fell asleep before I even got out of the Med.

I was looking into this game, and registered for the beta...Then I realized its a p2p of VC and I will not be downloading the client. The only advantage i see in BBO is that without the cash shop the game will be  much more balanced but from what I hear and have read the game is really unpolished, the translations.. horrible, and is extremely lacking any sort of depth. If there was longer than a week left in the OB i'de prob DL it to try it for myself because I hate being influenced by others but this isn't a new game, its VC with a monthly fee. So meh, once it flops, goes f2p with a cash shop i'll check it out
