I have been very tempted to buy GW and for the life of me I cannot remember how many playable races there are in the game. How many are there? I know Im stupid and I didnt search hard enough to find out on my own but I would also like to get some feedback from the people who have been playing it long term. I am playing CoX atm and its a great game but I dont play non stop and can fit another MMO in and I would like for it to be one I dont have to pay for and GW looks to be the one. So again how many races and what is the diversity like with armor and weapons I am a equipment junky and cant get my fix in CoX?

Well, if your are just buying Guild Wars then you only get to play as a human. I believe people who have the Eye of the North expansion pack get to play as one or two other races aswell. |

Oh for some reason I was thinking the Char were a playable race also but I didnt really look into it. |

You can play only as human in GW. In GW2 there will be more races playable. But imo it's not that bad. Every class have their own unique armour style and slightly different models. They have their unique casting and fighting animations and dances.. add longer ears to elementalists and you would have an elf... You can only play as human but they are more varied then in other games. |
