not true, they build something fun and then suck all the fun out of it.

It is then left laying there dieing untill some one takes a tire pump too it and pumps some more fun back into it.

But it layed there broken long anuff that it does not hold air well anny more. So time needs to be taken to fix the holes but they cant be bothered to fix them all as they are more concerned about adding new bells and whistles to it.

Apparently in the process of doing all that a new direction is set to fix the broken bits but every one is tired of runing in multiple directions at once that noting realy gets done all the way.

so whats left is a game that people eather hate or love ,love to hate or hate to love.

I hate that i was dumb anuff to keep coming back to try this every time i think im happy with it they FUBAR.

We are unaware and don't even know it. Wake up!

I played the game about 6 months after launch... Now hear me out please..

I've yet to play a game that even comes close to it.

(Keep in mind this is when I started the game.)

Alot of things about SWG were very indepth. The harvesting stats were indepth. So if you harvested, you better know what you were harvesting. This built the economy. The stats! This made the players seek for the best resources.

Now the crafters depended on the farmers. The crafting was indepth. And it takes a lot to learn. Therefore true specialty comes with that profession too. This too had meaning. You had better know what you were doing when crafting. And you had better have a moyor to give those bonuses to the cities to help their crafters produce high quality items.

Now the PvP'ers depended on the crafters. If the crafters didnt have good items, then they were terrible at PVP.  You had better help out your crafters or you wouldn't get far in PvP.

Now the PvE'ers were everyone spending half their time doing everything they could to help out their guild mates and city people to help eveyrone become the best they could be. The guild and city depended on it.

Fighting was depended on bases and turrets that provided safe houses for anyone in that area if you were of that faction. Mostly to the city members and city placement in a high quality area was essential.

So basicly, everyone depened on everyone. If you had a weak link, then you were weak.

What happened to all of that? That game with meaning.

There is YET!!!!!!  a game that can touch it out there. It is still beyond its time. What went so wrong? I dont know and I dont care, but I would hope someone would see this and bring it all back.

Bring back our PvP. Bring back our Cities. Bring back our players. Bring back our reasons to PvE. Bring back our reason to craft the best items. Bring back our economy. Bring back our stores and competition. We had a great thing.

I can only hope someone would hear this. Whatever has ever been said in anger, on any forum or anywhere in the bussiness.. I want you to know, that its because this game had so much value that people are only mad because they really miss what we once had.  I was mad too. But we did have the best MMORPG ever created.

Well beyond its years, just like the SWG plot was.

We only want what we once had.

Please hear this.

Sincerely

I don't know, I'm still too bitter about what happened.

It is easier to learn to program and design a game then it is to try to give advice and want changes as to what's fun.

The only thing greater than the number of WOW subscribers is the number of threads like this one created in this and other forums by embittered SWG players who seemingly will never get over losing their game.

Don't worry, your voices have been heard.  And willfully ignored.

Who the hell are you, and why should I care?
Congrats! You are a victim of Trollstar!

Loved: AO/old SWG
Hated: EQII
Tried: EQI/II, EVE, DAoC, WoW, Shadowbane, DDO, CoX, Tabula Rasa

I feel bad for those people who didn't get a chance to play SWG in all its glory a few years ago. SOE was really, honest to God on to something epic with their game. If you had played it, you would understand.

I agree they did scratch that barrier "something epic" with SWG but they failed to launch, execute and capitalize on the  ip ,a world simulator , and a core fanbase.  Perhaps someday all the unfortunate's will get another chance to be immersed in a "something epic"  type game experience.

The original SWG is gone.  Sad but true.  The producer no longer sells that services, they decided to offer something new.  The old customers were largely gone, from hearsay not many people subscribed for the new services.  Sad but done.

The old dissatisfied old customers has exercised their influence to the limit.  They voted with their feet.  The producer is not moved.  That is well announced.

Funny thing is, some old customers start pitching at the producers office, yelling for the producer to shut down.  Hmm... that sounds very convincing an argument.  Make the car the way I want it, or shut down your plant.  Make the curry noodles the way I
