I just went back and read the first 4 or 5 pages or so of this thread, such wide eyed optimism about the imminent release. Shame to see such hopes dashed..... Problem is, I'm not sure here at the end of 2007 we know much more about DF than we did back then, nor can any release date be predicted. |

I can't tell you when it will be released, but I can tell you when it won't be released. As predicted, a 2007 beta did not occur, so no, don't even expect a 2008 release. |

I am still keeping an eye on this one, although if they don't start beta 1st quarter 2008 the probablility of the game being released in 2008 is damn near close to zero. The game seen a ton of progress, keep in mind that most of the games never even release that much info when they are in an early state of development. IMHO 2008 will make or break DF. We will see what happeneds. |

Im sorry guys. Its 2k7 now and this post was started 3 years ago. Let the game fade peacefully into vaporware. Good lord we don't want another Duke Nukem: Forever in the books.

Thanks guys, this thread made me laugh so hard I almost felt bad deriving so much humor from other peoples misfortune. All those fanbois throwing out when they think its gonna be released, really its all too funny. |
