Nice to see you're still playing L2 Ellyrion ^_^. You probably don't remember me, but you gave me a ton of useful info about the TK class a long while ago. I've gotta say, this offer sounds really tempting. I'm planning to come back to L2 once again, but I'm on the Lionna server sadly =/. I wouldn't mind starting on a different server, but starting from scratch is such a pain financially. Anyway, be safe and best of luck to you and your clan ^^. |

You're right Alacres, the passage of time has taken its toll on my memory. Nevertheless, as Sovrath points out Server Transfers are the salvation for L2. There are a lot of ppl out there who have found themseves either, without friends who have moved on, clans dissolving, or just coming to the conclusion that they are on the wrong server. Given the harshness of L2's economy I agree with you that it is very difficult to just restart on a new server. This is why I've put up this recruitment post now and not earlier. There are a lot of very sensible players out there from what I have read in the forums. I have followed their discussions and their reasons for playing or leaving L2. I have posted my fair share of opinon and advice. Well for once there is actually a remedy to the advice and should ppl chose to consider transferring, I have opened up the doors to the clan. The recruitment process is reasonably selective as its more about working out personality compatibilities than just wholesale recruitment. This is why I hilighted that level is not an issue. You can very legitimately and easily go from lv 10-30 in a matter of hours when fighting the level 20 - 30 raidbosses and hit 40 shortly thereafter with our AoE melee groups. Levelling up to the 50's is really not an issue. After that things slow down, but if you're not new to L2 you'll know the drill. For new players, well the world of L2 has now become quite large and complex, so players are free to take their time and explore the game, lore and the character classes as they need to find their preference for the slower levelling curve in the 60's and 70's. When the server transfer option kicks in feel free to PM me or just make a toon on Kain and simply come chat. This is how our guild reached critical mass in EQ1 . I think its an excellent opportunity for all players who feel that they could enjoy L2 so much more if they only had the right environment to prosper in... Well we have one and you're welcome to come and check it out. As you can see most of the timezones are covered by someone from Lunatris so feel free to check things out on Kain :)

hi Ellyrion! Just wondering what the population was like on Kain? Thought Bartz was the most populated US server but when I hit the quality button it puts Bartz at top of the list, doesn't that mean it is lowest pop. If it's true "quality" button lists the servers from lowest to highest population?

| You got to realize, I truly believe there are paid employees of some games whose jobs are to post negative opinions on any new games in an attempt to divert the attention of the masses away from potential great games |

I'm not entirely sure how they displayed the servers. I don't think it was pop based, but I'm happy to stand corrected. WRT Kain, its hard to say Wrender, since I don't play on US prime time. Our timezone saw some fluctuation in numbers, but overall the same ppl seem to be around, with a sprinkling of new faces here and there. In hindsight it would seem that once server transfers went live the server populations significantly rebalanced themselves. Since Bartz, Devianne, Teon, Franz and Luna are untouched by the merger you can deduce that the greatest migration occured towards those servers. The merger is just a functional adjustment and sensible from an economic stand point. Historically, this is exactly the same as what happened to EQ1 and their server merges. I do believe that the server mergers will make L2 a lot more fun on Kain, or whatever the new name of the server becomes. Based on the server surveys I think it will be an interesting merger. Kain and Lionna had a very different communities and the initial merger friction is going to be interesting indeed. Overall I'm hoping that fewer servers will result in better customer service and better scrutiny against botting. Time will tell. Regards, Ellyrion Fiallathandriel The Reckless Knight |
