This one works with all t1 of course, but with everything t2, the thorax is a beast. 350dps with my (not at all maxed) skills.
Downside: As you see, no repper. Either you kill your enemy fast enough, or die. For solo-work you might want to switch from Hammerhead II to Vespa EC-600.
Flying it is easy: Turn on mwd, get close, blast. Once you are close you either win or die. Escaping is virtually impossible.

I recommend watching Eve-Tv Episode 13, featuring the Thorax, and the famous fight BoB vs. The Star Fraction

If you have a group of these, everyone should fit one remote rep on highslots so you can remote-tank your buddies. Sure, you lose some dps, but that's hardly a problem at the rate five or six of these go through a target now, is it?

Actually, a set of medium armor drones is better then remotereps on thoraxes. ;)

Yeah, that could work, but armor drones are slow, wouldn't that cause problems with everyone going full-tilt with the MWD's on? And if you've got a spare highslot, why not use it?

Of course, slip in a logistics ship (or a carrier) for field-repping, and all these bad boys become a whole lot nastier.

You wont be able to rep with mwd on anyways. Medium Remote Armor Repairers have a crappy range, but suck your cap dry.

only downside is needing either a logistics ship, or one or 2 people with some rep drones.
