Hello all, From what i´ve seen from articles and podcasts it looks like mythic has designed a class called the Disciple of Khaine and i wanted to know if anyone alse got the feeling that this class is mostly like vampiirs in DAoC. 1-They use 1-handed blades and use nothing offhand. 2-They wear leather. 3-They can cast spells like drain life, blood things so forth and so on. I just wanted to know if anyone agrees with me or if im getting confused. Thanks for reading.

Not too sure about the Vampiirs because I did not play that class in DAoC, but the Disciple of Khaine appears to be: ~ a melee-oriented support/healer class ~ uses lifetaps and DoTs Just thinking that this is a class that will earn some fear and respect since melee strikes coupled with lifetaps, DoTs and healing abilities is a wicked nasty combo. Actually, all the WAR healers sound like some pretty nasty characters since they are given substantial offensive capabilities -- and the buggers can heal! Yipes! Just recently I am starting to consider the High Elf Archmage class as a Main since those guys are strong offensive nukers, have solid defensive abilities and can heal as well. That sounds somewhat like the old DAoC Friar (although the Friar was primarily melee/staff) with good offense, defense and healing abilities. I personally don't think any of the WAR healer/support classes will be namby-pamby pushovers. I am thinking they will be pretty tough classes who will be essential for prolonged RvR battles.

The Disciple actually DOES use off hand weapons. You have the choice of either using another ritual blade or a blood chalice. And all of their attacks are mainly used to build up their healing and buffing abilities, which is their primary role. |
