I was very disappointed with my Crane when i noticed that fitting an mwd on it is nearly impossible. 150 pg are available, 150 are used by the mwd.
I worked around a bit, because i needed a ship to get past pirate lowsec camps.
So far, it worked. I have escaped about 40 camps, some even with fast locking ceptors (highsec-war).
I declare this Crane uncatchable in lowsec!

Good one - I use a slightly different setup. WHat i'm most disappointed about the crane is that its bonuses go for amount of shield booster - I personally don't think this ship can ever tank any damage...anways....

 

My setup is more costly, and should fit with good fitting skills, however i think, it's the ultimate one in agility to warp :):

the rigs add to the bill significantly - they cost 120M  :)

This setup can make 2.2km/s with MWD on but the key to escape camps is to avoid using this as the sig will increase dramatically. If needed, I use it only once before cloaking myself as you still get the first MWD cycle even when cloaked. But the best element is that this baby will warp out in 3 secs :)

The Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I will add to your warp speed, but this will only be of use once you manage to escape the camp and enter warp - with 9AU/s base warp speed, i think that increasing the possibility of actually initating warp speed is more important than outrun ships at warp.

One last thing - low sec isn't so 'predictable' anymore with HICs as they can deploy bubbles, with infinite scramble strength,  in Low sec  too!

I`d use an Occator, rather than a Crane, and I am Caldari, but use multiple ship types

I use both Occator and Viator, neither of which has problems fitting a MWD

This is wrong. No bubble in Lowsec, but they can use the directed infinipoint.
