Hey, i'm wondering if it's worth my time to play GW again if I only have GW and nightfall. Because I dont want to go out and buy the other expansions with War and Aoc coming out soon. |

Eh, up to you. Load it up if you wish. Shouldn't take all that long to download the basics and such and then you can just see. It's pretty much the same game as always. Few changes to skills and such but not much else that I can really think of. They added weapons from the contest but still not terribly much new. |

Would I still be able to participate in the same Guild v Guild fights as everyone, if I only have the first GW. |

yup you can still GvG even if you only have Prophecies and NF installed Prop & NF has plenty of great skills to make a decent PvP build |

To clarify...yes you CAN...but not necessarily do very well. It depends on what profession you play, what your secondary profession is etc. You can make a pretty good build with Prophecies and Nightfall, but most GvG teams will require you to own all campaigns as they may run a set build. |

I'm confused...do you own any of the games?
If not, I'd highly recommend getting them all. The box sets are quite cheap these days. If you want to PvP, you're going to need Factions to get by with an organised team...as well as the rest if possible. PvE-wise, Factions would be most people's last choice, so get either Prophecies/Nightfall and Eye of the North if you want it. |

After reading through the other comments I think a slight clarification is necessary. First of all as you only have Prophecies and Nigthfall (right?) you don't have access to all of the skills in the game, this may prove to be annoying should you want to participate in GvG/HA/General PvP. You got access to the most skills in the game and thus you shouldn't have too much problem with playing in general PvP, however GvG is different. GvG is he highest form of PvP and features the biggest challenge, here you can't redesign a build because the player doesn't have access to the skills, a build in GvG must be as good as it can be. Not having access to Factions may and may not prove to be annoying, should you decide to play a Dervish or Paragon you won't have trouble as these classes only got Nightfall skills and their secondary profession can be played decently without Factions. If you watch through the section of great working builds in GvG at PvXWiki you'll see that quite a lot of builds doesn't need skills from the Factions campaign. Conclusion: Not having access to Factions may in some cases prove to be annoying but you will in most cases not run into too many problems. |

You can purchase skill packs. Not sure how it works though or if all the skills are available. They cost $10 a piece |
