"And I Aint Ever Ran From A Ninja And I Damn Sho Aint Bout To Pick Today To Start Runnin"

So how many bullets would it take to make that thing nothing but an RC car? It's cool, but that's like something for patrol. When the real action is gonna hit, what is that thing gonna do?

Looks like just lug ammo and stuff. I was impressed when i seen that thing get kicked and slip on the ice and corrected its self.

My imagination runs wild for future applications.

Clench all you want, it''s still going in.

That is BAD ASS! That has to be the best motor coordination, balance, and speed I've ever seen from a robot.

Well, eventually, we'd get this:

98% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, I bet you drink coffee/alcohol and take aspirin but think you've never done drugs.

I disagree. All of the stuff they are researching could be ground breaking in creating replacement limbs for disabled people. Imagine wheelchaired person on top of something like that. Able to walk up stairs, go over ice, go up and down hills...

This is an amazing advancement. Don't let the "defence" funding cloud your opinion. Technology like this could be a precursor to helping crippled people get mobility back.

That tech was not developed by the defense department.  It was developed long ago.  There was a pogo-stick robot that was taught to stay upright - even if you tried to knock it over - you couldn't do it.  I'd dig up the video to prove it but I am kinda pressed for time.  Gotta catch a flight. Sorry. But seriously it has been around for years, and it is a huge waste of money to be used in such a way - when it could be better put to use doing ummm...maybe what you described.
