Need a game that will allow me to Rob and Kill other players...can I Rape the corpse aswell?

What i think alot of people find so offensive about darkfall is that the game is not using the normal pipeline for marketing the game or catering to the wishes of mister average joe gaming fan. They are doing there own thing, which would have been fine unless the fact is that they have such a big fanbase following the developement. That are obviously making some people envious and some developers should take a hint that theres a sizeable and starving niche market available.
They are not. Inviting journalists to play the game, making eyecandy movis, visiting trade shows etc. In other words not kissing up to the media or fans in the way they are used to it.They are also not willing to compromise on their basic idea so the game can be accesible for all type of players. lot of whiners refuse to understand the concept behind FFA FREE LOOT.
Remember this is the first game for a first time developer on a limited budget. Don't compare it with the bigger block buster games from more experienced developers. The biggest misstake they made was to come out to early with the gameinfo and in retrospect theyre admitting it. This might be a reason why they are so tightfisted with info nowdays.
Am I sceptical? Yes, but im willing to chill out and wait as i have done so many times in the past on other games. There are plenty of games to play out there and its sad to see so many people spending time spitting venom on MMORPG forums instead of playing actual games.
I hope all you say is true...I agree, with SGW, WAR and AoC coming out this year I will have plenty to do until the release of DF. |
