Where is Darkfall? Since you seem to have many answers, please elaborate as to the timeline for the game's release or beta.

Because fellas... In all seriousness... This cannot go on forever. We can hopefully all agree on that one point at least.

Tdog, Aragon, Segallion... Give us "your" personal timelines. How long are you willing to beat the drum? How much time are you giving Darkfall before you give up hope? How long are we talking about here? Let's put some kind of debate timeframe in place.

Can't believe this bashing on DF and more important can't see any  valid source that may have caused it, what caused the haters so much trouble that they feel they have to bash any  positive comment ,  any  new info (knowing  its rare makes it worser).

As i see Devs were always polite in their comments and trying  to not cause bad feelings with their behavior. Ofcourse  as newcomer they made initially some marketing mistakes but

....did they promised you
a release date ?  No.
Did you have to spent any money  yet ? No...

Where they unpolite or insulted someone ? No ..

Well guys if you crucify  DF developers for that less  amount of trouble  they may have caused you ..then what would  you  do if you had  an experience like $OE with  NGE..

Daily developer insults,  forum bans,  muting.  A whole bait and switch expansion.  Destroy the worth of all your in game belongings... Daily lies  to hold you for additional  time as  subscriber...

-like the famous "FRS will be enabled soon" lie that was worth a  6 month  subscription  period ( from the time the lie was announced till 6 month later the customer saw with their  own eyes FRS was impossible in the new system and obviously never intended to be re enabled  )

The DF developers stated often enough thats  their  "lifetime"  work thingy. You could give them a chance at least till you have  a really cause bashing them down ..

In all honesty I cannot even put a real date down because we just dont know.

As far as how long I will wait?  I will wait for ever for a MMORPG that finally gives me the game that brings back the challege, that allows the players to make real game changing choices. 

As far as how long for Darkfall until something that is better or equal too the Darkfalls Feature list comes out.

If I had to take a guess for darkfall beta and release

Beta - Sometime now and the end of the year.

Release - Sometime next year, if beta goes well.

Now I get to ask a question.  IF AoC flops will you haters come and admit you were wrong in a public post?

There is no other game like this in development. So I can wait. I'll play other games while waiting.

What does AOC have to do with anything though? I'm not even close to being an AOC fanboy, nor any other game. I play many MMO's, but I'm definately not a fanboy of any.

You're simply labeling anyone and everyone that disputes Darkfall as being an AOC fan?

And seriously... You haven't even played AOC. At least have a chance to give it a shot before you proclaim it's demise to the world.

My advice for you is this. Stop "waiting" forever for your "holy grail" of games to come. I assure you, it will never happen. That's right. Darkfall will NOT be "that game" you seek either. Thing is. You don't know how to simply have "fun" playing a game. You don't want a game. You want a game that's exactly suited to your personal preferences in every imaginable way.

Many games in the past were touted as the game to rule all games, including Shadowbane, Dark and Light and Vanguard, to just name a few. Go re-read the older posts on their forums and you will see the "same" type of people proclaiming the same stuff you guys are proclaiming here.

So, even if you are proved to be correct, and Darkfall actually does one day come to pass, you might just be very disappointed. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

No I assumed you were a AoC fan because that is what we get mostly.  AoC fanboys trolling Darkfall forums.

Second.  I will wait for my Holy Grail of MMOs because I do know what is fun for me and what is not fun for me.

Fun for me is a game that challeges me, a game that allows me to make a mistake but that mistake will cost me something (exp, gear, time, money, something), a game that allows me as a player to effect the gaming world, a game that allows me to custom build my Charater based on my playstyle.

I know how to have "Fun" playing a game, but I also know what it takes for a game to be "Fun" for me.  I dont want a game to cater to me, I want a game that has features that I find fun.

Darkfall has ONE HUGE issue for me, its open PVP, I am not a huge PvPer but I will deal with it because the other features of Darkfall are amazing, crafting that means something, city building and sieging, ship to ship combat, custom classes, huge open world with minimal restrictions.

Your right, Darkfall might come out and it may end of not being the game for me, so what? what have I really lost? Nothing.  Not time, not money, nothing.   Its not like I am just sitting staring at my computer waiting for Darkfall.  

I am keeping busying teaching myself how to Program and make MMOs with the RealmCrafter Engine, So I have all the time in the world (until I random die which is the nature of humans).
