Hey Are there any websites that host the full client in either zip or exe format? I can't use an Installer that downloads the game. Thanks! |

Yeah that's what I'm trying to avoid...the updater. Looking for all the files in zip format. |

Haha np. Let me try explain... When you download the game from the game's website, it downloads a small zip file. Once you install the program in that zip file, it downloads the game. What I'm looking for is a zip file containing all the game's files, instead of just the updater which downloads the files at a later stage :) |

Is this just your preference or some firewall is stopping it? The reason I ask is even if you grab City of Hereos Good Vs. Evil edition ISO off of torrent then install it, it will still download the patches via the exact same updater. So if your firewall is blocking it, then you wont be able to update and play anyway. If it is just a preference because you feel the updater is too slow that is a different story. What I did once I purchased Good vs. Evil online was snatch the image off torrent, burned it for future reinstalls, I then zip up the game directory after each major patch since, then in the event I reinstall I use the GvE DVD, then I unzip the zip over the install and then finally run it and no downloading to play. |

You have to use the updater. There is no other way to download the game. |

It's a complicated process but to sum it up, I can get someone to mirror it locally, meaning it won't contribute to my local cap. They can't, however, mirror the files the updater downloads :) I'll try that ISO thing, thanks. |

Satellite internet? You might find completed builds at various stages in one place or another. But to emphasize, you will have to connect to the updater as a fact of life for every little patch. And that's assuming you're able to use the trick to get around checking it when you're already patched. If connecting is the problem, you might try starting a whole bunch of updater windows until one hits and starts downloading, then closing the rest. That has been reported to work. |

It doesn't matter if I need to connect at a later stage, just looking to get the bulk of the data downloaded from a local mirror. Far easier than international =) |
