Thanks for the quick response Zaxtor. I'll be sure to look into the 8800, I want to upgrade without having to purchase an entirely new computer haha, seems like a good idea to start with just the video card. I'm not super concerned with the game LOOKING amazing so much as running smoothly. |

Yeppers. Great Card, Great Price. But before you dish out the money for that card bro, make sure your POWER SUPPLY can handle it. (prolly need a good 600 Watter or better) and also make sure your Video card slot is indeed a Pci-express slot (it probably is since you have the 6800 now) Also remember that for the most part, your computer is only as good as your weakest link. However that major upgrade in your video card dept would definitely boost your gaming power a LOT. Also not a bad card to put into a new rig should you invest in one or build one down the road. The 8800GT should be a good video card for atleast two more years. (In 2 or 3 years, it will likely be about like your 6800XT is now)

Will I be able to run on low graphic settings, 1280x720 resolution, and get a decent framrate even with a lot of players on screen?

Yep, at low graphics, maybe even medium settings, you should be fine.

I just got my Geforce 8600M GT pass the recommended spec by far even tough I know that in practise my graphic card is slower than the recommended Geforce 7900 GTX. |
