I recently bought a shiny new Commodore 64, which has been running Attack of the Mutant Camels and Elite with almost no hitches.

It has a clock speed of 1.023 MHz, 16 colors, with 4-bit color RAM, 8 hardware sprites of  24×21 pixels 64 KB  RAM.

Will I be OK with Age of Conan?

Nice rig!

The only problem I see is inserting the disk other than that you will be fine.

yes it will run with maxed out settings, dx10 and on 2500 by 1600 resolution.  nice job building your system :P

Should probably try the beta first just to make sure, shouldn't take too long to DL on 300 Baud modem.  Might also want to think about picking up a few extra 170K floppies to store it on.

what has been done before? not sure I get your meaning.

By the way, I am really struggling with the later levels in Spirit of the Stones. does anyone have any tips?

I will see your C64 with my overclocked Vic20 and amberscreen monochrome monitor from Service merchandise...

I woulda had my C64c but I sold it to a college buddy in '93.  He had the gall later to say I had ripped him off, even after I had sweetened the deal with like 500 pir...freeware games!

Did this really warrant a new thread?  A complete waste of my time.. 

 

You'd think these people would actually have something to talk about, considering AoC will hit the shelves in three weeks.

We can't talk about the game cause most people haven't seen it yet and the ones that have are still under an ND
