I''m not gonna do your stupid poll. |
As much as I can't wait for this, I'm not touching until at least June. You know the saying "Don't play on patch day?" Well I like to wait at least a weeks for at least some of the kinks to get worked out by the rest of you lemmings. Oh and I will also avoid these forums, missing all the "OMG ths gam SUX!!! i cant geton!!!1!!!1" posts. |

How can you soar with eagles, when you work with turkeys. |

In fact it doesn't guarantee that as such a developer your newest product will be a bigger success than your old one. Thus AoC has the potential to set a new "benchmark" when it comes to both development and launch of a mainstream MMORPG title. From what I'm hearing, Funcom have nearly succeeded. Only time will tell. No doubt WAR will also contribute to the evolution of the MMO industry this year as well. On a slightly different note, I'm predicting that in the next couple of years not only will we have F2P MMO's (with no development budget) and AAA MMO's (with a huge budget), but we'll start to see a sizable quantity of "Prefab" MMO's being produced. Ones that have been built using a pre-made engine (such as Multiverse) and a modest limited budget on top. |

This game won't set ANY new benchmarks, theres nothing new in AoC save for an awkward and buggy combat system which will get annoying rather quickly, oh and fake boobs. They might get the benchmark for the largest fake boobs. |

Down with the haters I say!! You guys have been creating a self-fulfilling prophecy with your constant negativity. I personally want AOC and other massives to succeed so that we have some fresh new games to play. All I see from half of the community is a string of relentless and meaningless negativity that serves absolutely no purpose other than to ENSURE that the launch does not go smoothly. Why would any true MMO fans want that?? I don't think that most of you have the slightest idea what it takes to make sure that a launch for a game of this magnitude goes smoothly. Problems are inevitable... but that does not mean that the game will fail. Try to be positive for once... you'll live happier lives. |
