Heck reading that Telenor is charging a swede $7000, in internet fee, for watching a youtube movie on the phone while it in Sweden for the same company (Telenor) would have costed $15 a month.

I was expecting 15 Euro.

Cheaper than I thought. All is good.

We don't do pay for health care, and we don't get any either anyway. Ok, that sounds blatent but there actually is starting to become some thruth in it. But this not a political discussion. If you do want to trade, trade with a french.

Even the SOE pricing with +VAT adding up to $17 something is cheaper than Funcoms price. I can't understand why they need to add +VAT. Is that because Norway is not a member of EU, but then again I don't see any +VAT on the US subscription. Is Norway another star in the US flag?

Assuming it took 5 minutes per response to write your replies and another 10-20 minutes to read this thread, you've now spent 25 minutes of wasted time at your job.

That 25 minutes, assuming you make $20/hour USD is about $10 USD worth of lost productivity. If you do this everyday each month you're wasting about $200 USD of time at your job.

If you work salary, that doesn't necessarily affect you but it could affect your upward mobility. Now if you happen to be hourly, that comes directly out of your pocket.

My point is this, it wastes more money arguing this point than simply paying it and moving on.

Well, I am glad to see that the rumors weren't true and that they went w/ the industry standard for subscription prices. I think we've hit a plateau @ 14.99 and we won't see anyone try to charge more for a long while.

I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to pick up AoC or not, but I am seriously considering it. It all comes down to whether or not I want to quit EQ2 and shell out the fifty beans for this, or keep playing EQ2 until WAR is out and spend it on some other games that have recently.

Anyone know if there will be another weekend for everyone to check things out, or even if they will be giving a free trial at some point? The free-trials usually don't come until the new subs have slowed down and aren't coming in as fast anymore, but doesn't hurt to ask.

When dollar was above euro, we paid more.

Now dollar is crumbling... we pay more again!

Wth, can't we ever win in this? I guess companies use every excuse they can to maximise profits! And the bad thing is... we will actually play it as we are all looking forward to AoC.... :(

No problem ;) The thing is that even if it is higher priced then what I currently play. Sort of have been using station access but will cut down to one game + AoC so it wont be that much. But higher price then one but not that much to worry about. If I like to play AoC I will continue that the biggest issue, as it should be.

Heck, as you said. And there is so much other things that cost aswell.

Arguing that is a hobby of mine ;)

Here's a prediction, game will open in US at 14.95 and if subscription response is strong expect them to raise prices after release.
