I listened to it while I was browsing the official site and other previews. Definitely informative. It's really interesting to get a developer point of view as well. Listening to him, I am getting very optimistic. Of course, it's his job to make it sound good (it's PR after all), but he really did sound sure of himself. It didn't sound like he was waffling and hiding anything. Thanks for the link. |

ah, yeah...I posted it earlier, and bumped it a while ago. Many things that they doom-sayers are claiming are flat-out proven to be bullshit by this interview. |

Great interview! Gave me warm fuzzies... sounds like the AOC dev tearm are well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of PVP game mechanics in many of the other current batch of MMORPGS. My expectations for a great game have increased exponentially I wish tomorrow was more than just the start of the "Fileplanet Beta Preview" though :( Who do i have to kill to get the final game released tomorrow! ooh ooh... can't wait!

I have to be honest though. I don't really know enough about the game to call bullshit or not. BUT, there was one thing that the developer said that was total crap. He basically said that people aren't going to have to reroll due to FoTM or nerfs. He thinks people are going to be rerolling to try out different classes (true), but I don't see how he could possible think powergamers aren't going to min-max and reroll the best classes at the time. This is especially true considering how competitive the PvP game is going to be. I used to play Anarchy Online, and Funcom nerfed my class to hell in one patch...so much that I stopped playing her completely.
At the PvP weekend, there were plenty of reports saying that various classes were totally overpowered. |
