Age of Conan

The Timeless are a group of dedicated individuals who have fought for the concepts of honor, virtue, mercy and love throughout the ages and across the universes...throughout all of time in fact.

As Heroes and Heroines of lore, The Timeless are infinitely reborn and appear whenever and wherever some need is foreseen for them. They have been summoned to war with Orcs and devious wizards...with demons and dragons of fearful might...with societies as dreadful and inhuman as the Virindi...and even with alien creatures in far distant futures.

They have fought, and they have loved, and they have hated, and they have died in places too numerous to recount.

They remember all of it.

They have been called to Hyboria.

The Timeless is the latest incarnation of a group of people who have been playing games together since the early days of Asheron's Call. The House of Colier, Clan Prosper, The Concillium...all of these are organizations which we have led across games such as AC1, AC2, AO, SWG, CoH, and WoW. (Yikes! We're getting pretty old.) We have run guilds with upwards of 150 members in multiple worlds. I myself started playing MMOs in 1996 with the granddaddy of them all, Meridian 59.

The founders disbanded the Concillium in 2007, more than a year after they had turned it over to a younger and more energetic leadership due to their disenchantment with WoW. Some of us wished to continue with that world and went on to form Defenders of Eternity, a group that remains intact to this day. Others chose to sit out for a while and refuel until we saw a game on the horizon that caught our eye -- Age of Conan.

Thus, if you roam through our site, you will find remnants of various things in our history. Images of other games, or of us getting together at the Texas Renaissance Faire. There will be greetings from old comrades. No matter that we stopped playing together for a time -- still many of us meet each year in person....still we communicate through forums and emails. Some of us have the good fortune to be close enough to meet weekly for a good old tabletop session.

And thus we are The Timeless -- a band of heroes that rises whenever there is need, goes to rest in times of peace, and then is summoned to battle once again. Some of us are career mercenaries, while others choose more peaceful paths when the chance is given them. But all of us respond when the horn is blown, whether it be on this world or another, and we stand together throughout the passage of time.
