anyone play a barb in beta care to comment? I see theyre stuck wearing cloth and light armor. what makes them more apt at melee combat then other cloth wearers? Do they get any sort of self heals or faster health regens? |

Barbarians are very dependant on their stuns, but good at sneaking. |

They have alot more surviabilty than the assassin and take a fare few hits before they die, the more damge they take just makes them stronger though, they also have pretty good evasion and alot of stuns ect, they have bleeds and can destroy players armour and evasion, when I pvp'd with mine I had no trouble defeating most foes, even without sneak attacking. |

They have a very high amount of life, good evasion abilities and better health regeneration than any other class. Like the above poster mentioned as well, they grow stronger with less health. |

I liked playing barbarian in open beta. You were able to take 4 mobs with same lvl as you same time. Not many classes can do that. With bear shaman I could barely take two. But my experience is limited to only lvl 13 max... Can't say anything certain past that.
One down side I've noticed on every rogue class is the lack of new feats while you lvl up. I was going to build a ranger from launch but I don't want to see myself using the same few skills from 10 to 80. |

Barbarians are as you mentioned not using more then cloth & light armor so ofc that gives less survivability then heavy armor wearing classes. I had a lvl 21 Barbarien wich i found quite fun indeed, stealth gives quite good survivability and if you spec 2h wise you get access to a wide array of knockback and stun skills - duelwield spec gives you more damage mitigation skills. Asfar as i could see at the current talents listed for barbarien class. But again, Barb´s are a dps class ( 2nd best melee dps right after assassin ) so ofc to balance it out you wont have the defenses and life capability as a guardien in plate. Try it out and hf! |
