Where's the best place for me to find out advice on how to set my skill points and feats for my Tempest. I got to level 12 last night, but so far I've only skilled up climbing to 35 to handle the volcano, and 10 points into that skill that keeps you from being interrupted. So that means I have over 200 unallocated skill points and a feat or two that I don't know what to do with. Any advice/links would be appreciated. Also, can I reset my skills and feats later? If so, then I'll be happy to just allocate them for now and fix it later. |

First of all, yes, you can reset feats and skills. Feats by going to a specific trainer for money, and skills by holding Alt and clicking on the skill you want to unlearn (it's in the toolbar), also for a certain amount of money. Let me start by saying that skills and feats, due to their very general and vague descriptions, are not completely understood by the majority of player-base as of yet. With that said, here's what I suggest from my experience with my Tempest of Set. Skills Max out casting concentration. This is vital, if it is what it says it is. I am never interrupted now, unless I am knocked down/stunned/etc so it must be doing something. Renew Mana... well, we're not sure if this means total mana regen (in/out of combat) or just when resting. Even still, I have maxed this out, because I'm hoping it is all forms of mana regen... we'll find out though. Hide/Perception: These are claimed to being broken... Hide because people are being thrown out of Hide all the time even with it maxed out, and Perception having little/unknown effects. Still, if you PvP, these skills are a must. For the rest, keep some extra points around for when you need Climbing, and otherwise just put them in what you think is best. Personally I have max Concentration and Renew Mana, minimal in Climbing, 50% in Perception, Max Hiding, and still have ~150 points free. Try whatever seems useful to you, as we aren't completely sure what is worth what. Feats I am doing Lightning for leveling, as it seems to have a lot of DPS skills. Thunder seems like a good AoE build with a lot of support talents, but again, I'm not entirely sure. The Priest tree seems very helpful for PvE, although I found the bottom right Feat, the one that increases damage, very useful for a Lightning-DPS build. What I'm doing for leveling is going all the way down Lightning for the Third Cyclone, then putting points in Priest to get the last feat, then putting the rest in Lightning. If I was at home I'd show you a temporary build... but I'm not :P. This was probably a longer response than you needed, but oh well. Hope this helps! EDIT: By the way, I haven't found any useful links for ToS resources, except the obvious feats.goonheim.com/ I'd suggest the official Tempest of Set forums for more information, and possibly better resources. |

Thanks for the reply....at least it gives me something to get started on. I've put about 100/130 points into casting concentration, 35 into climb (minimum req to climb atm), think I put in at least 60/130 for running as well...thought it would speed things up and be useful to catch up to someone in order to start a pvp fight (since it doesn't help once the fight gets going apparently) Haven't started on any feats yet, will definitely take your advice in mind when I chose some tonight.
