There is an option on these forums to hide signatures completely. I'm using it and really add ups to the actual feeling of a forum . |

It's really sad so see all this wow fanboys posting here saying that they canceled subscriptions, most of them dont even have a capable computer let alone play the game. How looser must a person be in real life to come to this forums just to write BS about a game they didnt even tryied, just because they are afraid their precious wow, the meaning of their sad lives, starts going down.... its ridiculous and i feel pity of this ppl.
Now to answer the thread, i am a 3 year player of wow, and like someone said, i am canceling the account on this poor old outdated game.. bye bye wow |

If you were using these forums as "how it's going to look like on the subs", then WoW wouldn't even have had 300k subs but as you can see it's at 10 million+.
Get my drift?
Also loved games in here are likely to have low subs.... The irony....
People go to forums, to advocate their hatred or problems with the games, or if it's underplayed, they protect it with zealous might.
I've seen so many "LoL- mania" pools towards WoW, which never even by a bargain reflected upon their subscription number.
Anyway, for now i'm enjoying the game, AoC, it could change later on but it'll probably be the game till something more interesting pops up, WAR not being one of them that game looks awful and the combat looks even worse than boring. However that can change as well. Once again the irony both in this post and thread will strike us all down....
With laughter some day. |

Originally posted by Darkveldrin Thats the problem today, Instancing is a piss poor attempt at solving the contested mob problem. introducing instancing has completly destroyed the whole MMORPG ethincs as we know it. In fact I reckon we may well need a new tag for these types of games, maybe MMOIG's (Massively Multiplayer Online Instanced Game) thats right, theres no RP anymore and theres no feeling at all that your inside a living breathing world. this is a result of a flawed quest system, too many players trying to beat on a single mob for quest completion or advancement. Too many people beating on a single mob for loot. its not ethical to have quests like this when there are so many people playing. instead of completly redesigning this type of system, they gave us instancing....piss poor but easier that reinventing the wheel.....and thats whats needed. |

honestly mate, i hate wow, so dont think im a fanboi, but hide ur sig with that flame lol glad to see your finally leaving wow (probably your first mmo) I'm on the fence to try AoC, the real problem being that its just another cookie cutter questfest for progression, having played almost all mmo's since UO i just cant take another run here kill 20 of that type of progression, basically makes it a single player story until endgame. Sadly "endgame" is just that to me except for pvp. It's the end of the game. Ever since eq1 raiding came out endgame has been the part to hold players into a game for a long time. Pre-this route the game itself all the way from start to finish is what kept ppl playing, questfests will never do this. I'll keep a close eye on seige pvp and where that goes, but honestly in a full instanced game it doesnt sound dynamic now, just another game in a game (daoc/wow battleground) with no other meaning than to win that little game then go on with teh "mmo world" So the next time someone rushes to endgame and asks "wheres the content" dont blame them, for the last 4 years they've been tought its a boring questfest tell endgame then the real game begins, its a sad state of affairs that will be re-hashed until the first one to do it makes good money. |

Originally posted by kparton Sad as this is ... Two of the most recent releases in MMO sphere that I remember (as far as P2P big project go) are Tabula Rasa and Age of Conan. I was beta-testing TR and the same instancing of zones was used as in AoC. Both games are graphically advanced, but social / imersion / role-play side was a source of complains from day one. And as the poster I qouted states ... the problem is not technical, its design. If you design the game, quests or named mobs or even grinds to send all your population into choke points, you get the problem. Only at least IMO "parallel universes" solution is not a good workaround. |

It doesnt feel real instanced, as I thought it would, these zones are pretty big, from what I expected. Grinding can get one experience after leaving Tortage, the beginning area. Ive got to admit it's different, but not incredibly so. And Ive not done too many repedative quests. So far most have been more like missions, to do hits. Last one I did was to kill this dude and cut the tattoo off his arm. Made it nice as I killed him with a fatality move, that left my sword in his guts , for a few seconds, while I stepped back and laughed at him before ripping my sword out and taking his tattoo off. Cutting peoples heads off is nice also. The way the head rolls one way, and their body flops back the other. Nice spurting blood and gurgleing sounds from the stump. I'm not a fanboy, I like anything to do with the whole , teeth and eyeballs, thing. But the PvP servers, ones I tried , bunch of whiney punks running around ganking ppl as soon as they rez. Then getting on OOC to list all the dirty words they learned at school, earlyer. |

Originally posted by tryklonTBH I'm actually considering canceling myself. The reason's aren't what you will claim though, the games runs great on my computer, I honestly only have one bug where the game crashes after I close it down but it doesn't cause any registry or file corruption so it really is | |
