Unfortunately, yes, so far in the Korean betas Aion has made use of Gameguard.

It's not a live-or-die topic to me, but it does make me a bit pissed that they insist on using it.

As long as it doesn't crash my system anymore, I'll just deal with it.

Is gameguard a bad thing? I'm guessing that it's a software to prevent bots and so on, but why is it unfortunately?

Cause it doesn't really block anything, and ends up screwing up many people who play legitly.
