I wanted to enjoy this game so much but the game is a failure in my eyes. I was fooled by Funcom. I have high hopes for WAR. "crosses fingers"
I also stopped playing after 2 weeks |

Problem with the whole genre lately for me is that it seems every game that comes out is released too early, full of bugs, missing content, technical nightmare etc...Only exception that comes to mind is LOTRO, other than that, no recent game (excluding WoW and EQ(2) here) ever seems to be in release state. Ultimately, the official forums become more hostile as the "haters and fanbois" dig in, the dev team (AoC especially) don't communicate, creating chaos as the community turns on each other. The devs make things worse with bad balancing decisions and more silence (AoC). Things spiral downhill until I move on, the game keeps going, just nowhere near what it could have been. My point is, instead of being a long lasting adventure, MMOs have become a month-long game, then onto the next. It sucks.
Now we see the cycle repeat with WAR, will it finally be a different story? |

AoC has way too many issues to stick around. The pure lack of end game content is atrocious at best. The game, to put it simply, is boring. The crafting is a joke too, just get the gems you want and that's it. I had high hopes for this game but I'm afraid they need to clean house and start over because their incompetence is bleeding the subscription base dry.
