Never Commit to One Style.... To Keep An Open Mind |
Reading through the WAR forums, there seems to be a lot of opinions with respect to hardcore/casual gaming and the look/mechanics compared to other games. I am not on beta so I can only go by the information I have seen. WAR does seem to be shaking up to be something different. The new trailer looks impressive, I forwarded the link to many of my friends to say this is probably the new benchmark for Game Trailers. Hardcore/casual gaming (I think) can only be defined by the person playing the game. I could say I play WoW hardcore, I play about 3 hours a day. Some people may perceive that as not hardcore to someone who plays 8 hours a day..... You get my point. What I like the looks of in WAR is the races which look relatively "raw" to the work Games Workshop have done so far. The classes remain faithful to a certian degree to the incartations created in roleplay and tabletop form. I will probably not play the game for the first two months while they fix the odd bug here and there and probably have a roadmap for the next two years for content which will come available some time after launch. For anyone who has played the tabletop game, read the books or enjoys White Dwarf, if you are like me, this could be something special. The community could make it special.

If you enjoy Warhammer lore or PvP, then let me tell you, I wouldn't wait that long. There is so much lore crammed in this game it's incredible. |

He's not teasing. That's the absolute truth. There's enough to do in this game in its current form to keep you busy for many months. And the few bugs that are still floating around aren't game-breaking by any means. The worst one is a CTD bug, but if you ask around there are a lot of people (myself included) who have never had a CTD even once. If you wait a couple of months after launch to buy this game, I don't think you're doing yourself any favors. But hey... to each his own. |
