So we all know microsoft finally has done something with their IP of all IPs the shadowrun franchise looks to have their FPS cross platform game. But what about the mmo arena? will MS venture into the world of cyberpunk online? Could Neocron be replaced as the ultimate marriage of magic and mayhem? Rumors will be rumors but this has to happen someday. I just wonder how long we will have to wait...

A Shadowrun MMORPG would be awesome! One can only hope that some dev reads this and sits there thinking about...at least long enough to try it. :D

Nothing official but some people are working on something to then be presented to Micro$soft Studio.

As close as youd get to something similar to Shadow Run in development is Fallen Earth.

I gave Fallen Earth a brief look. The visuals look like something out of Madmax. I dunno if I'll play it yet, gotta learn more about it..
But Shadowrun. Man o man I almost wanna go and unpack my genesis just to play it again. Spiritglow |

I would love to play a shadowrun mmo more than anything else. Well any fresh cyberpunk mmo really. But shadowrun is the best cyberpunk IP.

As Sci-Fi MMO's start to gain in popularity ( ie: STO, SG-W, etc ) It will no doubt lead to some form of cyberpunk MMO. Question is will it be the real Shadowrun, Cyber-punk, or some smaller less known niche game like SLA Industries. Either way I think it's only a matter of time. The only problem is how some futureistic MMO's have tank'd hard, look at SWG, and i don't think Matrix is blowing the doors of it's subscription possibility either, which may have the industry hesitant to proceed. But hell yeah I'd play... |

I've been wondering why Shadowrun hasn't been made into an MMORPG for ages now. The possibilities with that game would be endless......and awesome.
