I'm running it on my 6800.  Its not the greatest but if you lower some settings it will work.

because of the way the game mechanics are, no one will even gang up any more unless they know you. because you can just gank them. its stupid, i quit playing.

  I was there, and...umm...no it was pretty awesome for a beta and a release.  Best of its time, easy.  Lord of the Rings had a better Beta and Launch...but before then it was WoW all the way.  You live in a dream world.  Somehow you people equate having a bug or two to having a bad launch.  No one is shouting down AoC because of a bug or two...they are hating on it for its abysmal performance at this stage.

  Maybe they are wrong...I don't really care.  But there isn't really a point to saying things that are obviously, and historically proven to be, untrue.

  Comparing vanguard to this is fair as well.  Maybe Funcom is tons better, and maybe they have made some changes (I hear they have actually).  But, the first beta impression was very similar to a lot of people here.  I can objectively see why, and understand it.

nice vid, do you think the reqs are similar to vanguard? just hoping this game will run "ok" on low/med settings on my old pc, or my wife is going to be pissed. it does run vanguard on "balanced" around 30-40fps.

that is slightly better than my secondary comp, so i should be alright with it (the one my wife is going to use for it) my comp is

2GB DDR2 800mhz Ram

8800gts 512mb

(that should have no problems at all)

well, i, for one, just paid the full amount, up front, at my local gamestop. i got a nifty art book, and am assuming i will be able to get the code for the mammoth i was promised on the box with the game. i really couldnt give two (expletives) about 3 day early access, i am happy with starting on launch day.

nice review, and doesnt seem biased.

if the average age in WoW isn't somewhere around 12 to 15 years old and instead 20+...then humanity is doomed

Actually from different places I have read like gameindustry.biz and other places the average age of MMO players are late 20's early 30's.  Seeing as how wow has 3.5-4million in Europe/US and the closest contenders in the same regions only have a couple hundred thousand it's probably pretty safe to assume that the average wow player falls in those same demographics.  AoC with their M rating and the primary focus on nothing but combat and gore will probably appeal more to the 12-15 year old range you are so afraid of.

but i am almost 26 and i love violence and gratuitous nudity.

lol, wow discounts itself. only children (or adults) that cant afford a good pc play wow (and apparently that is a lot of people) i played a 14 day free trial of wow, it only lasted about 4 hours on my pc before deletion.
