i would look into the e8400 (179.99) instead of the 6850, it's newer and should not even be more expensive. if you just wanna play games and stuff dont worry about the quad they are really only good if you do multimedia encoding, photoshop, 3d work etc.

gpu: pretty much depends on the price but for an 1100$ comp i think you could get something more powerful.. like a 4870X2 (around 500$) ? (depends how big of a monitor you have) if ur monitor is 22" or less maybe look at a 4870 or gtx 260 no point in spending lots on a big gpu for 1680x1050 or less

ram i'm not sure on except dont spend much money on it (75$ or less for 4g imo)

not sure on that mobo, for a single gpu config i would probably stay clear of nvidia mobo and get something like a gigabyte P45 board (EP 45-DS3L = $120.00)

I agree with paying a monthly fee and even paying that on top of a 40$ game.  What I do NOT agree with is WoW's system of making you pay for expansion packs on top of it all which are 99% required to play the game.  CCP Games have the best system IMO.  EvE is free to download and you pay your 15$ a month.. no price to buy the game or expansions.. ever.

eve online is one of the only if not the only growing mmo with open pvp. give it a try.

you do level up but its like you join a server and start at lvl 1 and get xp from killing people its really hard to explain since it truely is a unique game, combining RTS/FPS/RPG

go with the e6750. the e6850 is a waste, you can OC the 6750 to those speeds easily..

on the quad core, most games at the moment cant even use dual cores properly yet. unless you want to future proof youself for 3-4+ years into the future than go with the e6750.

Edit: so yes, the e6750 WILL be faster in current games over the Q6600.

just because people have 2-3 accounts doesnt mean people actually play them at the same time..

i think eve is the only game where you can really be famous.. known to every player in the game because it isnt sharded

id try eve, plus in november the revIII expansion has a lot of new stuff including a new graphics engine..
