Well, i dont know if its old news for the people here. i decided to post as i only received this information today and i assume it was published less than a week ago from Codemasters.

There s also a mention for a Lotro expansion (which i have posted in the relevant section).

I am really looking forward to JGE. I did try JG once, and would really like to see a newer version of this game.

Just a short notice that Codemasters are currently advertising a major payable expansion of LotRO called Mines of Moria to games distributors and retailers in Europe as part of their 2008 lineup. The expansion's release date according to Codemasters is going to be Autumn 2008.

According to the Codemasters text the new expansion will feature the below:

1. new level cap.

2. new areas with new quests in six new books

3. two new classes.

4. the ability to forge legendary weapons and class-related equipment.

I dont know if this is old news for some of you but i decided to post anyway, as i just received the info.

just a short notice that Codemasters is now advertising JGE as part of their 2008 lineup to games distributors and retailers in Europe. The release date they mention is Autumn 2008.

The Codemasters text implies that the game will focus on faction wars, dogfights and missions (!) and that its target group is experienced MMO veterans.

the graphics are appalling. Of course i dont mind about graphics but most people do.

the reason i never tried JG is because the billing system doesn't let me in. I ve tried three times already since 2004 with 3 different credit cards. All got rejected. they dont accept paypal either so i simply cant play. A friend of mine told me JG never accepted his credit cards either.

You'd think that, but SoE only gives the free 30 days to "new" accounts. As I already had an account from my SWG days, I was billed immediately for V:SoH.

sounds pretty stupid to me, but unfortunately it seems to be the case.

I found this in SOE tech support:

Question
When does the Vanguard Pre-Order End?
  Answer
At 12PM PST on 02/02/2007 all players will be required to have a valid retail key associated with their account in order to continue playing. Thank you everyone for your understanding, if you have billing or technical support issues and need assistance with registering your key please contact SOE Account/Technical support at: http://support.station.sony.com

So, have you guys actually preordered a copy of Vanguard and are now playing WITHOUT having paid a monthly subscription? Cause thats what both of you suggest in your above posts. (Or maybe i didnt understand what you are trying to tell me).
If i get this correctly, the above support thread sugests i should now pay a monthly fee in order to continue playing, and i dont get a free month for preordering. Is that true or not?

hit the L button, pick each quest marked as completed and check the "track quest" box. Then a red signal will appear on your radar, (the small bar with directions on the top and centre of your screen). follow the red signal. (the tracked waypoint will also be marked on your map).

i hope this helps

I dont have a second SOE account. I use the same account when trying to log in that i used for the purchase. I was able to play for 6 days after the launch with this account and then it stopped. Thats exactly what happened to my flatmate. Since it seems the rest of you who preordered are enjoying a free month, i should file a petition.

Thanks for all the info guys, much appreciated.

Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately i just checked my mails again (bulk as well) and i have never received a key. As i bought the game from the SOE store I was told i will not require any kind of key. I checked anyway and i do not have this 20 digit key. Do you know for a fact that preorders are entitled to 1 free month?

I preordered the game and thus paid 58.74euro. I was actually charged on Friday 2/2/07, so i played the 3 preorder days for free. On 6/2/07 I suddenly crashed (together with a flatmate of mine who has also preordered) and was unable to log in eversince as according to SOE i do not own a subscription. Another flatmate of mine did not preorder but bought a retail pack. It appears that he actually enjoys the usual free month (as he is still able to log in) while we who have preordered are now forced to pay for a subscription fee in order to continue? (my preordering flatmate paid instantly without a second thought actually).
I am not whining here, i am only asking if this is what should happen to us who have preordered. Arent we entitled to a free month?
Cause if we are, i might have to file a petition. But i need to be sure before doing so.

You people are all pleased with what you saw. where does the negative feedback come from? The game has a somewhat low hype level. anyone cares to point out the negatives?

bleh.. This is probably a bad game, but still, having been beaten up by a wolf cub isnt a reason for us to stay away from the game.

You said it yourself, its only the 1st mob. We expect you to play at least 100 hours before you review. back to Ragnum, Xerion!

Judging by the hypemeter it doesnt look promising. somebody mentioned WASD movement. does this mean we have a true twitched combat MMOFPS here?

After some research, i found out that there's restricted looting in all servers and kinda like full loot in Neptune?

Is it worth starting in Neptune or should i just stick with Terra? i mean i really need an open-pvp, full-loot game, but is there anyone in neptune or am i going to be alone there?

i hope this time somebody answers. I really need advice on this one.

I ve actually heard that before. I will definitely try this game within the week.

Is there any form of looting in NC2? Is the economy player-driven?
