Well I overlooked the age requirement.  If I do end up joining the guild, I will probably lie about my age.

So do I format and install or install the 64 bit on top of the 32 bit version?

So by saying you have 2 chapters, that means you guys will be starting a guild on both the PvE and PvP servers?

So I bought retail Vista 32 bit home premium.  I had 4 gigs of ram but only 3.25 were recognized so I decided I wanted to upgrade to 64bit.  I give them my product key and information and they mail me the 64bit version.  What now???

I can't find a product key anywhere on the mailing container and I have been searching the internet for the next step with no success.  The email doesn't help me at all either.

Any ideas?

Short and simple, there are about five of us that come from pre-CU SWG and we are looking to join a guild that has a mature player base.  Must be a PvP server guild and preferably stemming from the east coast for time compatibility.

Send me a PM.  Thanks in advance.

True to an extent, I don't think the recommended specs are THAT far from what is actually needed to run on high.

I hear that the required level to be a guild leader was 40, is this correct?

Extreme situations are the only things.  This would be the first MMO that I have pre-ordered so if there is a lesson to learn, then AoC may present me with that opportunity.  Otherwise, I have done a significant amount of research and waiting.

So if my computer blew up or the FunCom HQ was bombed.

To clarify, I am pretty sure that high-end crafting requires using guild city accessories, not only for making weapons and armor, but for architecture and other professions as well.

As time goes on, technology gets better.  Gamers upgrade.  Games have better graphics.  If you can't afford intermediate upgrades to keep up, you need to get yourself out of that Burger King job.

You go to college, pick up 100-200k student loan debt.  Buy a new house and add 300-500k debt.  Get a car 30-40k debt.  Get a cell phone... get a cell phone for you wife.... 100 bucks a month.  Get internet... get cable... get your wife pregnant.

I'm sorry but kids like you always crack me up.  Those of us who really do live in the real world v/s working at the mall and saving pennies for a computer are not going to lay out a lot of money for a new "gaming" rig.  It's not because we don't have good jobs or because we don't make a lot of money.  It's just that we spend a lot of money on other things.

An MMO is a different monster than the old Counterstrike games.  Counterstike could make it just by selling to 20 year olds who worked at the mall and put their big 2k into a computer.  An MMO has to have a large player base who can send in 15-20 bucks a month to keep playing.  W/O having access to a large audience  IMMEDIATELY, v/s 2-3 years down the road, the cost of upgrading the game and the cost of servers will turn the game into a "Vanguard."

That's just the way it goes.

Wow...

Thank you for enlightening me with your vast amount of knowledge, I will not dare question your generalizations, for I am only a "kid" that cracks you up.

Alright thanks ya'll. So they send me the physical copy of the game, and e-mail me my game-key for the early access about sums up what happens?

Pretty much, and some people think that the shipping time is going to interfere by taking a few days but it doesn't really matter since the pre-play code lasts 10 days.

what worries me is that I pre-ordered teh CE edition from an EB games location, not online.  It says they will email the early download codes and stuff, well the store didnt take my email address.  Hopefully they will get some kind of card I can go pick up, but this also worries me since sometimes the workers tehre are clueless.

I was unsure of how they would get it to me as well so I called them and they told me to come back to the store, show my receipt and then give them my e-mail address.  I suggest you do the same.

i preordered from gamestop, regular edition, and werent they supposed to email something about codes for the bonuses?

and do they actually still send you the physical disc even though you can download the game to play 3 days early?

The codes to pre-play the game last 10 days, therefore, by May 27th, you have to have that physical copy, and they will still mail it to you if you ordered it online.

These are big game changing "sections". and release is May...Either game will come out and will suck for the first few months, and due to mass critisizm the moral of dev's will fall so low they wont care...if they are SMART, they will simply push it back. as much as it sucks, games that are pushed back more than often come out great!

Thats a possibility, Age of Conan will probably be a make or break game due to the large amount of postponing, but I don't think its likely.   They have pushed it back because they did not have a pristine game in their eyes, and they will do it again if they see fit.  My only problem is going as far as saying that the game will probably turn out like that because the Kalanthes interview indicated that these sections were still being worked on.  I think a more proper word would be tweaked.  These things are very important as you know and I'm sure that they didn't put it off until just now to construct them, they just require a lot of time to perfect, but they cannot actually perfect it until its released to everyone.

I just hate how when MMO's first come out and there are some twinks that need to be done and patches that need to be applied, people freak out and say the game is horrible.  All MMORPG's have twinks at start...I have high hopes for this game and trust it will be good, but not at launch. I just dont want to hear negativity 5 days after release!

Well aside from my opinion that it will be just as good as the hype says at launch, I understand.  The loyal followers of this game will not be spreading their negativity after 5 days, at least I hope not.  The people that freak out are usually the ones that gambled and spent the sixty bucks to get the game on release after not really learning anything about it, only to be disappointed.

They let us log in on the 14th to start downloading it, so 72 hours of downloading should be enough time IMO.

wait, so will you be able to get into the game 3 days early if you pre order the box at the store?
